Hello

Just wondering if anyone has had any successful ppi claims.

I text them and now I'm thinking I'm going to get bombarded with calls?

My cousin had a very successful ppi claim a few years back, he even got back the money on loans & HP he didn't pay after he went bankrupt.

I did it myself. I wasn't entitled to anything but at least I know

Now every time I get a PPI call I keep them on the phone until I get bored then tell them I've already looked into

Yup

Did it myself twice, Blackhorse.

They tried to fob me off with a token 3k first time before it all hit the big news headlines which we took because we thought fuck it, if we don't we may not get another offer.

Then after around 12 months when it was all over the news I sent the same paperwork with the new date saying we thought they'd fucked us over and we're going to the fsa and within a month they offered us a further 12k. WANKERS

I have experience in this so if you need any tips feel free to message. I know on average these companies take 33% of the gross amount, so may be worth checking yourself but I can explain processes and such should you require some help.

Do it yourself is what I should of said.

I found everything you need, forms-advice-instructions on the money saving experts website. It's that Martin Lewis ofof the telly. He's brilliant

There's even a forum on there for peeps that are going through the same process although I don't think they appreciated my more humerus style of posting ....

Oh yes Martin Lewis, I should of known he'd be on it!

I can't imagine I'm owed much at all, if any but I didn't know these people would take such a massive slice. Thieving rogues!!!

Think I'll check it out myself....thanks guys

Have you got to know all your old loan details etc?

I had stuff when younger but i'd never find/remember the details.

Gave you a little info without it becoming an essay lol. It's a rather simple process for the most part but you do need to show the bank you have a working knowledge of the PPI or they will simply fob you off.

I presume so. Sounds like a bit of a faff for possibly only a few hundred quid!!
