We eat out quite a lot, usually 3 or more times a week. Try keep it under £30 a time.
Spent €80 on a steak, two chicken breasts, a bowl of chips and a 330ml guiness in Amsterdam
Totally not worth it
Just because food is expensive doesn't mean it's the best |

My favourite thing about posh restaurants is the whole bullshit spectacle that comes with other diners trying to pretend they can tell a bottle of echo falls from the £100 per bottle shizz |

Are you including drinks in the price?"
Yes unless it's £300 food and .75p on crisps |

Awwww bless you, can't believe a guy hasn't wined and dined you spending more than £20 "
In all honestly I doubt I'd let them. I'd rather they spent the money on something useful. |

I don't do overpriced pretentious food.
I don't mind spending on food when I feel I'm getting value for money, however, how any restaurant can ask ridiculous sums of money for food boggles my brain.
When there are human beings in the works that can't even afford a bowl of rice, there should be a level of Shame for asking and spending that kind of money on food. |

I'm not a fan either but shall we shame the people with a flash car because there's people who can't afford a bus ticket?
If someone has worked for their money let them enjoy it how they see ft |

Style over substance? Definitely not.
For us, it has to be a certain Italian restaurant a few miles outside Aberdeen. We have never had a bad meal, usually serenaded by Salvatore, and whether it is a simple pizza or something from the 'specials', it is always delicious.
A Saturday evening without a visit here just wouldn't be complete!!

That could be a while sociological debate.
But in my opinion, no need to Shame them when they're doing quite a good enough job of that themselves. |

About 12 year ago a rig I was responsible for was on hire to an oil company owned by a far eastern royal family ....
Some of the senior members of that royal family decided to make a social visit to the rig along with their entourage ...
We were instructed to decamp our own catering crew to a five star hotel and allow the royal families personal caterers take over our galley
We received 4 helicopter fights of special ingredients for their visit....
Their personal catering crew arrived 24 hours in advance and prepared what can only be described as a banquet fit for a king......
The royal family cancelled their visit so a bunch of us rig pigs ended up eating what I can only imagine would be the most expensive meal any of us ever had ... |
