Is it just me or do you believe that men and women perceive sex differently?
I find that fundamentally the majority of men want to consistently have multiple sexual partners even when they have a partner at home whilst the majority of women fundamentally prefer one, but yet we live in a society where both men and womens natures exist so I find it interesting as to why is it looked down apon in todays society to have multiple partners whilst your with someone.
Whats your thoughts? |

How many partners do you have at the moment? |

I think there are differences in this between men and women.
However there's a much bigger difference between some men and other men! And some women and other women.
Men and women can have a lot more in common with each other than every person of their sex. |

From every honest person around me that are honest with themselves and through past experiences. I know girls are obviously capable of having and curious about multiple partners however on a foundation level would you say your essance is to want multiple partners |

Yes

Yes this has been shown for the majority of men to be true

No that's not true, there is no statitsically significant difference between men and women who are naturally predisposed towards non-mongamy. It's ~70% in both cases. It is true that women has less drive for the frequency of sex, on average, but that is nothing to do with the number of partners. |

interesting point of view but lets say hypothetically you had a choice between 70 different guys or one guy that can fuck you like those 70 different guys and is able to adjust his size and shape so thats not a issue. Which would you choose |

Rather odd question, the appeal of variety is not just the penis or the fucking. It's not really a point of view either, it's scientific consenus that most people are not naturally predisposed towards monogamy. |

Men and womens attitudes towards sex are very different, but I also know a lot of men that really are quite content with one woman.
But if you take the gay cruising, or dogging areas these are far more populated than the heterosexual dogging areas, have you ever heard of a lesbian dogging area? If such thing exsisted it would soon be overrun with men.
But I think the main difference is lots of women are quite happy to cheat, to have multiple sex partners and experiment sexually but they don't feel the need to boast, brag or ensure it becomes public knowledge and take fewer risks in publics, whereas a man gets his dick wet and whole the world needs to know, therefore men are more often seen as being more sexually liberated.

Multiple sex partners are looked down on by society because of the perception of dishonesty, insecurity, it's perceived conflict with stable family life and jealousy.
The generalisation that women only want monogamy is in the same place as women all want to be virgins on their wedding night! |

I don't think monogamy is healthy as a general rule (obviously for some that's what they'll want and so be it)...
As a self proclaimed high sex drive woman I'm turned on by variety... As a bisexual woman I'm turned on by men and women and mostly by those who have healthy libido's and those who express their sexuality.
I'd like to be with someone I'm in love with who's needs I'll respect as long as I'm aware of them... ie if my partner "needs" sexual variety, I'd be ok with that as long as I knew about it, it'd even turn me on and I'd like to be included... These days tho I have less of a need to fuck about, so I'd like a period of just being with someone I love and who loves me as much, with a whole lot of personal freedom and mutual support thrown into the mix. I only get jealous if someone's trying to manipulate my emotions, otherwise I'm dandy. |

I'd choose having sex with one guy I'm in love/lust with because the sex is off the chain awesome and I'll never experience that again quite the same with anyone else lol |

I think this is too much of a generalisation OP. Not all men are looking to meet multiple women and not all women are looking for monogamy. It's a little more complicated than that. It really is down to individuals, rather than a battle of the sexes. There are so many variables involved. It's not as cut and dried as that. |

What is with all the people saying everyone is different, what a meaningless statement in this context. The OP is simply saying there are men and women who are either monogamous or not. Those are four categories right there. If we widen then for trans people and asexual people we'd have nine but either way, all ~7bn people in the world can fit into those catgeories. The OP simply saying which catgeories he thinks are most populated. |

statistically your wrong about men being more promiscuous than women and statistically woman cheat more than men .
have you ever heard this says divide by 3 the number of sexual partners a man claims to have had and times by 2 the number sexual partners a woman claims to have had and then you will be approaching the correct number . |

Who cheats more is a different question than OP posed. |
