I loved school dinners

Top two. Spam fritters and Gypsy tart

The smell of carrots cooking all day has put me off carrots for life

Wasn't a fan in senior school, but in infants I loved school puddings!

Ohhhhh what I wouldn't give for a bowl of Semolina, or Chocolate concrete and custard

Gypsy tart was my favourite, my friends didn't like it so I got theirs as well. And there was that white pudding cream, we called it shaving foam xxx

"Chocolate concrete and custard "

Another vote for chocolate concrete.

A deli near work sometimes makes it, so I still get to indulge occasionally - sadly minus the custard.

Would have been a great idea when I was at school.I might have been able to stay awake through endless dull droning afternoon lessons instead of dropping off at the back of the class, partly due to the vast quantities of canteen dinners, huge portions at my school.

The teachers at my school drank enough coffee that when they talked, it was like standing next to a perculator
