Dear Friends Fabbers and Forumites.
Well I don’t know about you but I have had a super jolly brilliant day. The second of two wonderful days off , yes the weather hasn’t been as spiffing as I would have hoped but hey , no such thing as bad weather just the wrong clothes , or so they say .
Pooch and I have noticed some negativity in the Force (forums).
So in an attempt, like the smile at people thread this morning, we hope to restore some equilibrium.
Firstly to scotch the worried about your body shape or confidence we have a little thing we do and I hope it helps, because we all have those little doubting voices.
People do ask me why am I so blinking jolly all the time , I have a little secret and I was given these tips from a very good friend
Here are a few little questions I ask myself
• How can you be kinder to yourself right now?
• Am I using unhelpful ways of thinking?
• Am I expecting perfection, everyone makes and learns from their mistakes?
• Am I focusing on my weaknesses and ignoring my strengths?
• How can I slow down and stop rushing?
• Am I forgetting to count to ten , focus on just breathing and taking a step back and become grounded?
• How can I be kind to my body right now?
• What gives me a sense of control, satisfaction and achievement?
• What would I say or do for someone who was feeling glum?
• What is the best gift I could give to myself this very moment?
This is all part of mindfulness, please feel free to google.
Now ask yourself those same questions and see what you can do to start to really love yourself , not in narcissistic way!
Please share your thoughts with the group.
Taff and Pooch
By the way did I mention I really love nesquick pink milk

That's a great post, Taff and Pooch. I think it's good to ask questions of ourselves sometimes and to realise there are many others worse off than we are. Also treat others as you wish to be treated yourself. Smileyface |

Great gestures and thoughts mate.
Though I consistently tried to be supportive to someone for years. Every time I tried to maintain a positive attitude I was made to feel like I didn't care and I began to believe it.
Be careful about allowing others to influence your opinion of self.
I like your approach. |

I am sorry to hear that bud , yes don't let other influence yourself worth . Your happiness is in your own hands and not others as soon as that penny drops life is just jolly |

As long as you are breathing there’s more right with you than wrong with you, no matter what the condition of your body and its history and no matter what you are facing in this moment.

I listen to his guided meditation every night, it helps me get to sleep, and with my depression and anxiety. |

This is wonderful. Now I need to figure out a way to print this out, Fablon it, and then get it inside my head so I have a constant 'be nice to myself' reminder |

"I agree also find pleasure in the small things. The sun on your back, a nice cup of coffee, a chat with a friend. You don't need the big things to be content "
Sometimes the smallest things can make the biggest difference |

He contemplates life on many levels lol
(I don't get the anthropomorphizing
but that aside) it's a lovely post to read! "
