Twitter relies upon you getting involved before people can 'follow' you. You can follow other people but until you post yourself you'll just be a nameless, faceless follower. |

lol Hello Cheeky.
A man on here we know talked us into starting twitter a while back, I couldn't figure out what the hell was going on and ended up talking to myself a lot ( nowt new there then you may say ) so I deleted it again, BUT before I deleted it I noticed the singer from The Corrs was following me....bit odd. |

Twitter is like anything else on the internet.
99.99% of it is utter, utter shite.
But the rest is actually really good. I started using Twitter about a year ago and I'm hooked.
I follow people who Tweet interesting things, and I Tweet interesting things to people who follow me.
Think of Twitter as being a bit like the forums. Most of it is forgettable in an instant, but the interesting bits, and interesting people are well worth a read.
The mistake most people make is following rich and/or famous people. These people rarely, if ever, have anything to say other than 'look at me' or 'but my latest product'.
Thousands upon thousands of people follow Stephen Fry. But that's because they think it will make them look intelligent, not because they want to know what he had for breakfast or what the consistency of his last poo was. Just because the man is a polymath it doesn't mean you should hang on his every word.
Millions of people follow Lady Gaga. Not because she ever has anything interesting or insightful to say, but because the general public are, as a collective of humanity, fucking morons who would follow a bucket of fish if the bucket of fish was on the telly.
So be selective in who you follow and be interesting in what you say.
And don't follow Piers Morgan. Because he's a cunt. |

I prefer twitter to Facebook most of the time.
Less politics...
And I tend to find things out quicker than watching the news in the evening... Amy Winehouse's death and the Tottenham Riots broke on twitter first...
If anyone does use twitter and wants to follow... PM me... |

On twitter as @paulfun38
Prefer it to facebook, and follow and am followed by an odd mix of people. Often tweet about what I am up to, places I am going, so one day it will all about gardening and another what kinky stuff I got up to the previous night.
