Your mission if wish to accept it, is to smile at a complete stranger. As apposed to an incomplete stranger. On the bus, in the coffee shop, wherever. Flip, smile at more than one stranger if you want. Then report back here and let us know what became of your smiles.

i will do this - training at work - then off to the shops - see how many people i can get to worry about me with a silly grin on my face - already got PP laughing at me this morning

I smile and say good morning to people everyday.Most smile back and a few just carry on with a stern cross face . Maybe they had ran out of milk for there tea earlier.

I also do this regularly and get a similar response

Try chucking in a "You have have a great day" after you have ordered lunch for example, little things really can make people's day and it costs nothing to be polite.

I smile at people when I'm out and normally get a smile back

I go into London most months and smile at people on the tube and they look at me like I've got 2 heads! Such a shame

I do this daily. We live in a sleepy little village and the response is usually positive. There's a few that regularly stop to have a wee chat. Tend to find younger generations don't like it as much and look at you like you have 2 heads.

I'm all for keeping it going, I love it! J x
