But hey, for that going into my bank account every week (tax free I read), then I'd call my career a success!!

Yes.
He's a one man business and PSG will probably profit if he's there long enough. Paris as well as the whole of French football will be a frenzy of excitement having him there, he'll be hailed a great if he's successful and it'll probably result in him getting that craved Ballon d'Or if they win the Champions League with him starring. Open markets for ya! |

And that's one of the reasons why I've fallen out of love with football. It's a sport that's awash with money from people who have no interest in the game or its grass roots, and run by a corrupt and toxic governing body. |

I remember putting 'Newsround' on as a kid and Trevor Francis had just moved for £1M.
That was only a generation or so ago, now look where we are.
It's ridiculous.

Its not that bad! Sure we've got Isis sponsors buying clubs,a corrupt governing body, rigged tournaments, dodgy owners from the mafia to Russian mobsters, rigged playing schedules, players cosseted from illegalities, tax dodging, ever increasing costs of watching.....
The good news is, it's a giant bubble about to go pop because practically nobody actually makes a profit at it  |

The money involved in football nowadays is the reason I have given up going on a regular basis. I had season ticket for years at pride park but go to the odd Away game now just for a session and day out. Sky have completely ruined football but you'll always get someone saying the money they've put into game is good. All the mercenary foreigners over here for pay cheque don't give a shit about fans or clubs. I remember when to flight players would live on the new built housing estate and go In the local and mix with fans. They're so far detracted from supporters now it's not the same. TOP FOOTBALL as we knew it |

It's shocking!!!
To put it into reality - for the transfer fee of 1 player, a family of 5 could have 2 weeks away in Centre Parcs doing all the activities available!!
