In a recent survey of how long should sex should last below are the results.
What do people think? Do you prefer sex lasted longer or shorter with your partner?
41% of people (the majority in the survey) said that it should last 5-10 minutes.
37% of people wanted 10-20 minutes.
10% opted for 20-30 minutes, and 12% wanted more than half an hour of bonking.
That means that 78% of people wanted to have sex for less than 20 minutes.

Why either or?
Sometimes we're in the mood for an all nighter.
Other times, it's bend over now and it's done with in minutes.
The rest of the time, falls in between those extremes.  |

In 'real life' I believe studies show the actual sex act lasts, on average, about 8-12 minutes* (I'll have to go Google to check the data).
On Fab, everyone boasts how they can go all night long. You won't get an accurate measure on here - the average will be measured in hours not minutes if you listen to Fabsters!
(*I'm assuming this doesn't include all the foreplay / build up?) |

Actual penetration I'm not sure, I've never really timed it exactly. I've always been with fast finishers so I've kind of trained my body to cum quickly to beat them! Can cun within a minute of fucking  |

Reading that research has made me feel quite pleased as I'm sure actual penetration lasts longer than 12 minute .... on average anyway.
TBH I might only last 12 seconds with some of you on here  |

With my ex husband it was 10/15 minutes on average, with half of that being penetration.
Now, with my regular and long term partners it's between 45 minutes and an hour and a half, with between 20 minutes and 40 minutes approximately of penetration.
I'm surprised at how long some man can last during penetration; although we sometimes switch around and have oral in between. |

With my ex from foreplay to finish I'd watch the first scene of Constantine when he exercises the demon with a mirror, never ever seen the rest of the film and would finish with the DVD on a loop with the credits!
If Constantine went in the machine, I knew I was getting sex!  |

As people have said depends on the breakdown of foreplay and penetration
I like lots of foreplay over a long duration 20/30 min until you both can't stand it any longer and just want to fuck. Then it's usually over quickly! |

I'd say:
5-10 mins for foreplay
10 mins for intercourse
5 mins to get a drink and rehydrate
25-30 time to recharge
30 mins intercourse
15 mins drive home
5 mins applying verification
So lets round it up to approx 2hrs  |

Exactly, a lot of the posts here seem to confusing swinging meets, which should last a minimum of 2 hours (foreplay included) with monday night marital sex where people actually need to go to work the next day. |
