Led Zeppelin and Jethro Tull for me, seen them both live back in the day.

But must mention the Sensational Alex Harvey Band - a live act without equal, although Thin Lizzy came close.

Honourable mention to the long forgotten Baker Gurvitz Army - Ginger Baker, Paul and Andy Gurvitz, one of them later had a top 10 hit with some dire dross, but a great band.

"AC/DC - Saw them as a teen and on the Black Ice tour. Brilliant both times although the Black Ice tour gig was better."

They were the first band I ever saw at the Queen's Hall Derby on the Dirty Deeds tour in '77, have seen them many times since

Much prefer old school rock & blues to metal, hence I like Deep Purple, Led Zep, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Def Leppard, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and many more, although there are quite a few new bands coming through that I like as well

Stone Sour are one of my all-time favourite bands and are well worth looking up,they've been going quite a long time now.Corey Taylor (Slipknot frontman and a god amongst men) is the vocalist and James Root (Slipknot guitarist) is a former member.Quality hard rock riffs coupled with Taylor's multi-ranging vocals makes for an excellent listen.Throw in their softer gentler tracks and they are a full-package rock band.Stone Sour and Come What(ever) May are their best two albums

Yea, we don't really know much about them ourselves, we don't mind the "country" sound as we're big Black Stone Cherry fans, but thought Stonesour would have a heavier act supporting.
