YAAAAAAAY! 
Life can be a tough old bugger at times. Throws curveballs at ya just when you think you've got it sussed. Most of us have been through stuff we'd rather forget, nevertheless we've learnt from these things.
Look for the things that make you go yaaay cherish these things, savour them, be thankful for them and appreciate them. Nothing is a given.
Sometimes we need to kick ourselves up the backside and make that move, take that risk. Go for that new job you've been thinking about. Tell the person who brings you joy how you feel. Get the puppy you've always wanted. My point is do something for yourself, something that will make you happy.
You keep doing what you've been doing and you'll keep getting the same. Life is to be enjoyed, not endured.
Stop existing....start living.

Yesterday is no more
tomorrow is but a dream
we have only today...
If we don't make it our perfect day no one else will do it for us
although someone else may just make it perfect
whatever you do today remember to stop smell the roses
Smile at the world and all its foolishness
And remember we only have today
love yourself love someone else love life
and if you can find a way to make someone else happy
It will change at least two lives if you do

I went for a spin on my bike last after not riding it for a couple of weeks. That first time you pull back the throttle and get dragged into hyper space makes you feel alive, love it |

All very true and the sort of wise words we should all try and live by OP
I just 'endured' life for way too long myself. It wears you down. Not so much living as barely existing. Had something of a cosmic kick in the pants a few years ago and it well and truly saved my life and set me on a path where I can be myself and more importantly be happy. Life is good but living it is better.

It's happened twice while I've been running. I was struggling bad and all I heard in my ears courtesy of Bon Jovi was "gonna take a miracle, to make it this time"
