Anyone going to any festivals this summer ?

And anyone played at a festival before? We're thinking the first night since showers are lacking and we will be at Leeds festival

I think this is a great idea which you should definitely pursue. Something to consider would be to ensure arrangements have been made before hand as signal strength at festivals (in my experience) have been shocking.

The stereophonics were amazing when we saw them but it was depressingly a long time ago now

Our meet is up if anyone else is going

Have been to many festivals over the years, but as they are getting far too overpriced and I'm getting on a bit, I prefer to see bands in pubs where you can get a decent pint and see up and coming young bands.

Led Zep was ma first one at Knebworth in '79

I know it's not the same thing entirely. But I love going to the proms. I go most years.

And it's not expensive.

Late stater huh! But I agree, I got my ticket for free in the end but Ramblin' Man was a total rip off, £5.60 a pint for cider ffs! I prefer the free festivals.

Yeah the prices they charge are rediculous but loads of festivals are getting cancelled so maybe they'll realise the prices are getting too high

Apparently the Y Not festival at Pikehall in Derbyshire was cancelled on the Sunday because of the rain. Our local paper said there were were groups of teenagers raiding people's tents to steal alcohol from them as well

What a shit environment

Not good - you need good security nowadays, sadly. I think it depends on the generation slightly too - the old farts seem to be very magnanimous.

Exactly, back in the day people would sooner give you a beer rather than steal it off you!

I remember going into people's tents where drinking was an afterthought
