...that you look at first in a profile which then make you decide to read more or move on?
This could be useful and informative for all of us. May not be anything obvious either and might be something that can be changed which helps our own profiles too.
For me it's. ..
1. Can they accommodate.
2 Do they smoke. |

I go straight to the pics
Then read the profile
Then if any veris I read those to
Look at the pics again
Decide if I'm going to message ... chicken out then move onto the next profile  |

The pics is the makes up 50% of my decision, need to know if I'm attracted to them
The bio makes up the rest, if it's full of "don't do this" and "won't do that" I'll just leave them alone, who needs that kind negativity in their life 
The warning to Sydney university can also trump all of the above |

Mostly I watch what they say first. Do they sound like the sort of person I could spend time with?
On to the profile I'd go with
1. They want to engage with me on an intellectual level as well as physical
2. Intensity - I'm all about the mysterious and often darker side of a person. This intrigues me a lot |

You could just keep reading profile. .. start Wi Aa. Then aab and so on we need it all alphabeticalised . X |

I get that accommodation thing as I've been stung for it on more than 2 occasions. ..but distance. One can travel quite a way to meet someone. That's maybe for another post later. |

"I'm looking for a connection of minds" or "I want to get to know someone on an intellectual level"
You get the gist. Any variants of the above.

Be interested to know how many refuse to show face pics.... i will now but only if the other who asks shows theirs first. That more often not ends the conversation I've found so far though. Most women won't show their face first in my experience. |

Usually there had to be done trigger for me to go and look at a profile forum post or status post or just someone see wandering around the forums...
Then first usually the avatar and profile and if it captures my imagination and I think there may be some connection
Then the pictures...
Then I just bottle it and go back to the man cave because they are out of my league.. |

See I would agree with you on that however we have some "don'ts" on ours for the simple reason that people seem to ignore what you say. So I've had to put some "donts" in to make it clear as day... |

This I get 100% and have bottled it loads of times... maybe daily. I keep my 'visual on' look...if they don't show an interest then I know they wouldn't reply either. I'd say there are hundreds of us men like that too...maybe thousands. |

See I would agree with you on that however we have some "don'ts" on ours for the simple reason that people seem to ignore what you say. So I've had to put some "donts" in to make it clear as day..."
Some is fine as long as there is a nice balance between positives and negatives. If it's just a page of donts and wonts then I'm not interested . If a bio is fully of negativity (and sometimes comes across as aggressive) then I assume the person behind the profile is as well |
