More than happy for this opinionated grumpy git to be mocked for hypocrisy and slated for being two faced but hey oh, I'm in a good mood.....just had weigh in and I've finally lost 4 Stone and what's best, no stupid fad diets or exercise involved, oh yeah, smug mode!

I don't know about the OP but for me was to cut out potatoes and bread.

I'm not doing anything special, if I can anybody can and honestly I don't do any gym workouts or exercises.

Sort of similar but my doctor told be that 1/3rd of calories should be carbohydrates but just not "white" type, so sweet potato and multi grain bread and brown rice.

My guess is he made up his diet of one third carbs using sweet potatoes , brown rice and seeded bread.

Well done. I've been losing a little bit purely from exercise, and toning up a bit in places but have been trying to address my diet. This sounds like something I can start with.
