When do you take them out?
I had mine done in 1999 (not the same stud!) but just noticed the big massive dent it's left in my tongue where studs have been in all these years.
Think maybe a rubber or plastic ball would stop it or too late and damage done? |

Had mine done in 1998, I've changed the ball a few times but you're right about the dent. The only time mine comes out is if I get an ulcer on the underside of my tongue where the hole is, which is rare. |

Look at the tongue picture with the yazoo and zoom in on it, that's what an oyster looks like with a pearl inside it, genuine I had one in Greece.
When is the time to finally take it out though?  I blame Keith flint for mine! |

I think mine has a ruby in at the mo. I was tempted to try one of the rubber ones with spikes on to see what difference in made to a BJ but never bothered. That's effort!
I think mine will be coming with me to hell. I talk like I have a speech impediment when I take it out  |

I got mine done almost 20 years ago and kept it for 10 years until I had an op. I intended to put it back in after but had complications and was a bit out of it so by the time I remembered it'd closed up - really quickly! The dent more or less went after a while. I then got it done again two years ago and don't have any intention of taking it out - it feels weird without it  |

I stretched mine to 10mm thick about 8 years ago the balls were quite large and dented my tongue a bit. Had to take it out about 2 years ago during a bout of tonsillitis and the hole shrunk down so I never botjered putting a bar back in at the time. Out of curiosity tried putting a normal 1.6mm bar in a couple of months ago and it popped straight through so I'm back to stretching it up again. |
