There and to the left a bit |
Have always said It Must Be Love or One Step Beyond by Madness to be carried in to and either Light My Fire by The Doors or Smoke Gets In Your Eyes as I'm taken down to be cremated or Going Underground by The Jam if I'm buried. |

"I'm not having a funeral."
That's it. They probably won't even find my body. I shall die doing something incredibly stupid and reckless whilst I still can. |

I have insisted on no funeral. I don't want people to be sad. Go to the pub get squiffy. All I have asked of my family is that my remains are scattered at Loch lomond. |

Filthy Fuckeryville |
Dock of the bay - Otis Redding just cause I simply love it.
There will also be some nuttiness probably something like Die Toten Hosen -Guantanamera (Cunt in the mirror) as it'll only be in a crem and not religious

As folks walk in, the gentle strains of an elevator music version of the Foo's D.O.A.
As the cremation gets underway, The chorus to Disco Inferno will play!
And finally, the folks walking out will be accompanied by a New Orleans parade band playing The Muppets Show theme. |

"I'm not having a funeral.
Are you donating yourself to medical science?
I'm never growing up.
You don't need to grow up to die "
I know. I really dont like talking about this shit though.
But in the spirit of it I want to provide a musical journey
So...
Arriving - Here you come again, Dolly Parton
Reflection- I'm letting the folk decide that.
Curtain around- There she goes, The La's
Departing -Just like heaven, The Cure |

"Wish you were here and shine on you crazy diamond, all parts, by Floyd
Fuzz"
The whole of Shine on You Crazy Diamond was played at the start of my husband's funeral and Oasis Stop Crying Your Heart Out at the end. During the service I also chose extracts from David Bowie Where are we now and Corinne Bailey Rae Que Sera Sera.

Body is going to organ donation and medical science. No funeral, just a fancy dress party.
Cheesy 80s
A load of rock
Last song to be played....
In the flesh by Pink Floyd.
They lyrics will make people think "for fuck sake woman, can't take you anywhere!" and hopefully raise a giggle or 2. |

My family have strict instructions.
Walk in to Hedonism by Skunk Anansie
Curtains close to Nimrod by Edward Elgar
Walk out to Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay by Otis Redding.
They can do whatever they want, but those three are non negotiable. |

Reason is because it's a catchy tune and I'm always in the mood to dance....

I'm having a direct funeral but want a party on a Saturday night (after I've died) with a disco, karaoke and awesome buffet.
I've been to some great wakes and that's what I want at mine.
A night to remember and to celebrate my life. Just a shame I wont be there |

At the crematorium:
As the coffin comes in- Sand & Water by Beth Neilsen Chapman.
During Reflection- Love Theme from "Brave heart"
When the coffin slides behind the curtains- "Nosciens Mater", by Jean Mouton ( the version sung by Monteverdi Choir) - won't be a dry eye there! |

Having been recently given the unenviable task of selecting the music for someone's funeral, I have spent the last 24 hours switching between smiling and sobbing at tunes we have enjoyed.
I would possibly pick Leaving on a Jet Plane for me. |

My sister had this at her funeral. It was heartbreaking.
I think he wrote it after his own little son died falling out of a window in a tower block, that was left open by a cleaner or someone. |
