So after talking ancient Egyptians last night I was thinking about their burial rituals and preparations for the afterlife.
They buried the dead with items they would need in the next life.
If you could choose 3 items to take into your next life what would they be? |

Gosport |
A very well insulated flameproof suit, some ear plugs and a copy of The God Delusion after the earful I got the other day from a bible pusher. To be fair I may have been baiting them a little with my evil scientific and atheist views when they told me I was 'categorically going to rot in hell'. To which I wound them up even more by flippantly pointing out that surely rotting in hell would be really difficult given all the apparent roasting going on. |

"1) my dad so I could feel safe
2) my dog
3) someone else's bank account "
What's wrong with your bank account? I suppose it wouldn't be yours in the afterlife, so strictly it would then be someone else's. |

Sure, but that all depends on what or who you come back as. |

Bag of beads: to trade with if it's full of simple minded natives.
Copy of Plato's Republic: to help set up a just democracy.
Set of favourite kitchen knives: a man must eat.

1) My dogs, stuffed, because I'll need companionship.
2) A copy of Rawls' A Theory of Justice, because I'll need something to read and it's long and the subject matter is useful.
3) A gun, because you never know what's on the other side |

"My guitar. A bottle of wine. And a glass
Drink from the bottle?! Then you get to take another item! "
But what else do I need? Nothing. I got my memories and can just watch.
It's A little deep this for a weekend. |

Has the full procedure of digesting white gold over weeks before your departure from this earth been performed water prepared by your alchemist from deep sea water, for the purest white gold.
Its only that unless this is done right. I'd have no passage and the three items would be wasted as I'd never make it.
actually I've read many old alchemy books on the production of digestable white gold exacting requirements for right of passage..actually the important people would digest it regularly through life time. Some very interesting reading
Interesting your posts, notice a few good posts |

I should have said without going all harry potter haha on you.
Its also called the philosophers stone haha or the "elixir of life"
Not that hard to make actually from an alchemist point of view. The main problem is obtaining deep sea water.
I've always been amazed that deep sea water is full of white gold, just need to extract it and keep doing so to build regular supply to digest like they did.
I bet if you said to people ive been taking the philosophers stone regularly they would think you was on drugs haha or mad on harry potter.
What stuff you been reading op on Egyptians?
