They piss me off a bit, only because I feel guilty that I can't have more time off with my sprogs. But between holiday with their Dad, Nan coming to stay, a week at multisports and time with me, they're looking forward to it, which is the most important thing 
Oh and I get a bit of extra time for fun as they are with their Dad for two weeks  |

I was looking at all the pictures friends were posting on Facebook of their children at sports day and I felt quite sad.
I won't get to do that again. There are no more long six week breaks and family holidays...
I kind of miss them being small.

Thank you but i have friends who are in school areas where all parents have this attitude with eachother... everithing is hugely debated and all it's imperfections highlighted... there was a group created for parents to share help snd support:everyone got on a high horse and it had to be closed down. Competitive parenting they call it, I just think that rather than compete we need to learn to cooperate again.

The train to work is beautifully quiet. It takes 5 minutes to get a coffee instead of 20..... the office is half empty and so chilled out it's almost relaxing.
The bars in town at the weekend don't have queues anymore as the students all left and the supermarket is the same.
I really rather like it.
But, by September I will miss the rush of people, the vibrancy and the energy it brings.
But for now, roll on summer!

Look at the positives, we get to spend precious time during the long hot summer nights with our families. Come September, the nights draw in and the anticipation of new adventures and meets builds. I'd rather meet on a cosy autumnal evening than waste the lovely weather. We have one life, we should live it anyway we please without judgement xx ?? |

I am well past the kids in school age but when it was school holidays for mine I used to enjoy it for the sleep ins and the time spent with the kids.
I know you now say the OP was a joke, but trust me,sod the extra sex and enjoy them while they are younger as it goes way way too fast |

I'm always with my kid. Every single day. I cherish and love every single minute of being a mum. But it's healthy and important to be your own person outside being a parent and a partner. I'm not wishing time away without my kid. I just want more time to do everything I want. |

"The train to work is beautifully quiet. It takes 5 minutes to get a coffee instead of 20..... the office is half empty and so chilled out it's almost relaxing.
The bars in town at the weekend don't have queues anymore as the students all left and the supermarket is the same.
I really rather like it.
But, by September I will miss the rush of people, the vibrancy and the energy it brings.
But for now, roll on summer!
I will love to visit Bristol
