How different would our music charts be if we didn't have music video's and music channels on tv? If music was purely on radio and mp3/cd only would the artists/bands we have today sell half as many records based on talent alone and not relying on their gorgeous flawless looks?
Do artists/groups only get deals because they are all 'eye candy'? I can't tell you one plus sized person in the charts or in a music group.. does this mean large people can not sing? Ive been watching a music station and every single artist who has a video i would say is very attractive and dont look like normal people on the streets.

If your talking pop music yes I beleive looks count, but many other genres dont put so much on appearance, first one that springs to mind is country. which in the good auld US of A is a multi billion pound music industry.
