Leading on from the other thread ' birth name ' do you actually like your name or have you secretly always resented your parents choice.?

I quite like mine, it's not out of the ordinary but rarely come across another, I can't think of a name I'd rather have either.
Fred used to get quite annoyed with his when he was younger as he was often met with the phrase "we were expecting you to be black" This hasn't happened for quite awhile now

I like mine even though it can be shortened in quite a few ways. Hated it as a child though, I was the only one in primary school and I never got anything personalized for Christmas.
When I went to high school there were 2 others with the same name, which was quite a relief!!! |

My parents thought I was going to be a boy and they had a name picked out.
I came along so they just stuck an a on the boys name and that's my name.
It is a normal girls name though it is one of the names that could be extinct soon. |

at one point i actually made a list with all the varieties of my name I came across... have been called everything pretty much as people don't get it. didn't like a person calling me victor- i mean I am still female after all but was rather amused about being called whiskey... |

I once knew three female triplets called Fanny Annie and Mary and Fanny had size 12 feet and Mary and Annie had size 10.
