This clearly is a women thing, my mrs has headed off to it, starts at 5am and she's just text me to say the queue is absolutely massive
Are the discounts worthy of such an early start to get in?
Have you been to one? What are they like, I'm thinking Black Friday close to Christmas |

I went to a n ext sale once. It was a bing day thing. So cleverly lab led January sale.......December 26th. Don't get me started in that!
The queue in the Trafford centre was about 100 meters long. I waited in it. Got in the store and quickly regretted it. I didn't buy a thing. It's all old stock, and set up like a jumble sale. Good luck to your missus, |

"Wouldn't waste my time and I dislike shopping for clothes in town. 80% of my clothes are second hand and I buy off ebay "
I hate buying clothes myself, I use amazon most of the time, I've no sense of style either, so look like a complete beaut when I try to coordinate |

I have a vintage style. Next wouldn't be my type of store. I tend to go online for my clothing. It caters to my needs more.... So definitely no queuing for me |

I have one, but she leaves it to me to style myself, I'm almost 44 so can't get away with the skater boy look anymore |

I've got friends who go but I don't see the attraction myself. I don't like the clothes in next anyway as they don't fit me. And that's not because I'm chubby, they didn't fit when I was a size 10 either. I'm not actually that keen on shopping so this kind f frenzy really doesn't appeal. I do have to go and buy a suit for interviews though today, wish me luck... |

Good luck, mrs got back and seems to have refilled the kids wardrobe, apparently it was quite calm inside, got quite a few bargains apparently. |

I really don't understand these mad rush sales. Same with Black Friday, some of the videos from that day are ridiculous.
Drop kicking an old lady because she's in the way of that 3rd tv you so desperately need because it's 50% off |

Our eldest daughter has gone, she has got something for me which looks great and very cheap plus its what i actually needed too. She will also have got baby stuff at excellent prices.
I like Next, some of their clothes are very much "hippy" which i like and they wash and wear very well |

The last time I went to a Next Sale at 5am was YEARS ago with the Mrs in Windsor. There were people ahead of us, come as families, that we're literally stripping the shelves of everything without even looking at what they were buying - just piling it in massive bags.
I can only assume they were going to resale stuff on market stalls otherwise I can't think why else they would do that!?
Never bothered again after that. |

"Next are good for kids clothes and that's about it.
Yes from what the mrs said, that was the area that was most crowded"
Their homeware section is good too but a bit pricey. I'd do the online sale but i have trouble getting up early and i hate crowds. Hope she bags some bargains! |

I have to admit i hate the concept of black Friday sales... People buying TVs and crap when they dont need it, it shows how much we have changed and become more materialistic and to then become violent over it? Is it really worth it? |

A Sales Assistant once told me that people pile it into the bags spend £100's, try it on at home & then bring it back 2-3 days later when they allow Returns. |

"Did mine online on Wednesday. Got everything I'd been waiting for too
B x"
Me too. Because they couldn't offer store collection they gave free home delivery. All done, just sit back and wait for the doorbell to ring now |

"I normally buy all my clothes from Next as I know their petite range fits me, however, their clothes range has been shit this year so I wouldn't worry about your Mrs over spending "
It's gone downhill over the last few years I think. I buy Mr N polo shirts and petite jeans and trousers for me but as you say the rest of it is rubbish. |

Nah, most of the time they just selling off what they can't shift or making room for upgraded stock or people just buying stuff they only think they need. |

That's true to an extent. Some of the things they have in their sale are things I've never seen in the shop. They do mainly have genuine reductions though. I've got two very nice standard lamps coming with 75% off. So I'm happy. |
