In your option what's the best font for a tattoo

The tattoo in question is a short quote (12 words) going on my torso

Many thanks

Sorry for confusion, I'm after advice really. In particular if anyone knows of some good fonts for tattooing. I don't fancy free hand as the quote is too long for that and I don't have much space where I want it but thank you

Runcorn

WHen you go to the shop they will have a selection that you can choose from.

My main advice would be dont be a cheap skate, Better tattoo artists will charge more.

I pay approx £70 per hour to my artist

Just look up tattoo fonts

I have two different font types on myself

I would say it depends on the quote itself as to what font is suitable.

At the moment your not really giving much info on the design itself.

Personally I would look at what you want and run it through something like word and change the font to see what you like and what you dont.

If its something strong and enpowering you want something that reflects that.... For example "warrior" in bubble writing it mind of looses its strength if that makes sense?

Yes I think the best advice is to talk to my artist. And yes I would never skrimp on a tattoo (that shit is permanent lol).

If I'm honest there are so many fonts at the moment but it's individual and subjective.

Thanks, did your artist use your font, or suggest their own?

We both agreed on the one that looked the best and most unique for it

Sedgefield

It depends on what the script is and what other tats you have, gothic script would look stupid next to a pink unicorn or a playful font wouldn't be good for most memorial verses.

Type the quote into word and have a play around with fonts and go with what you feel is right. This is a very subjective question, what I love may be something you hate.

Don't have it too small as in a few years the ink will bleed and it will look like a smudge.

"Don't have it too small as in a few years the ink will bleed and it will look like a smudge."

In all fairness, ink, needles and machines and power supplies have changed so much over the last 5 years that ink bleed has become a think of the past. It's usually down to a poor artist that you get any at all.

I don't think be will have to worry about ink bleed, unless he's going microscopic with his sizing

I played around on tattoofontgenerator.net to find one that suited my quote. You can change the background to match your skin tone too which was helpful
