Central

There are often great deals online from sites here and overseas, as long as you know your prescription measurements. I saw branded specs for €10 recently via a known UK site, albeit not giving next day delivery.

Ah the joys of internet spectacle suppliers

Not too bad if you've had measurements taken by an experienced optical dispenser but sadly, in most cases, people just try to do it themselves. It's these people who come back into the opticians who did their test complaining that they can't see right with the glasses they bought online.......then we have investigate why and then break the bad news that the glasses won't work correctly because the measurements are incorrect

You don’t need a prescription for reading glasses. Get the seller lay out an example of every diopter between 1 and 3, never mind the frames or shapes. Use each one in turn to read an example of small print. Choose the best diopter, then choose the best-looking specs with that prescription.

If you’re in Bangkok, you can test yourself in any one of at least two opticians on Sukhumvit odd-side between Sois 3 and 19. Ask the price and see if you can do better from a street vendor, usually near the Soi 4 pedestrian crossing.

Wish I was there to show you!
