I had a man message me who i declined to meet and i blocked him. He sets up new profiles and messages me but eventually caves in and tells me it's him and that i can block him if I want to. And then he does it again!!. But i think that's more a case of getting around filters than stalking me?
Besides he's only 5ft 6. I could take him if i had to. |

Yes several times, one man and a couple and a woman, all have stalked me across 2 sites. All have made several profiles to keep messaging me. The man had my phone number too. XXX |

I've been stalked by the crazy purple haired cat lady that works in the local petrol station. She would make up lies about us and tell the guy I work with. I even saw her outside my house a few times. |

A couple of times when I first joined years ago. The guy beat my door in because he thought I was in having sex with another guy. The other one wanted more than a social but I didn't so started appearing randomly at social events.  |

Not from here but in real life, years ago I had a gay stalker that turned out to be my ex girlfriends best mate. I'm pretty sure she wouldn't have laughed about it once it came to light who it was at the time if it had been a girly friend of hers  |

How serious has it got?
Stalking isn't a joke although some people treat it as such. It can very dangerous.
Block all possible avenues of contact. Don't respond to any messages or phone calls but save anything you have in writing. Send one and only one, clear and unambiguous message saying that if they don't stop stalking you, you have no choice but to inform the police then don't respond or message again. |

Yes, a man on here kept messaging me I told him I wasn't interested. Then next thing I know he said he'd seen me out and we'd exchanged smiles so thought it meant I'd like more. And that he was at the end of my street. I blocked him but worry as I don't know what he looks like x |

Only on the phone from another site. I met him once for a social, but decided he wasn't for me. For the next 6 weeks he messaged and rang me anytime during the day. Eventually, he gave up. Sometime afterwards, he set up another profile wth a different name, but used the same text and pic, and messaged me as if for the first time.  As if I wouldn't notice!

Not off here, but had one from a dating site I used to be on. Never met him, we just chatted, but he became obsessed, constant messages every 15 mins, told him I wasn't interested, he tracked me down on FB, declined his friend request, he started requesting my friends. Made fake profiles & kept sending more friend requests.
Police involved after a few weeks. He told them we'd been in 3 month relationship & I'd cheated on him.
Obviously they had copies of all our messages which proved we'd never even met. He was given a warning to leave me & my family friends alone.
I still stresses when I receive unknown friend requests or messages, but I get a lot of work referrals via social media so have to accept & read all messages before I can see if it's genuine |
