Am I the only person who thinks they look ugly? And in this modern world, do we really need them anymore? I took ours down as we only receive satellite TV........

Most probably don't need them and yes, they're ugly. I imagine cost stops most from having them taken down.

The satellite dish was already on the house, but the aerial was redundant, and only gave a perch for birds to sit on, then shit on the roof, helping moss to grow

why worry about tv aerials when we have all these monstrous wind farms with huge turbines.

These blight our landscape more than anything else.
