I know we can hide our profiles from time to time when we want a break but is there also a setting we can do that doesn't show we're "online"
Sometimes I just want to see messages and updates then get a few messages "saw you were online"

When admin introduced the symbol to show you being online there were a lot of complaints about people being inundated with those messages. They permitted members to opt out of having the symbol but I think that option was only available for a short time. We took the opportunity when it was there.
If it really bothers you maybe try contacting admin and asking if it's still possible to opt out |
