"For me I've had it twice now where women turn up with their kids. WTF is wrong with people. Who turns up on a 1st date with their kids."
Why not?
I imagine she'd need them to like a prospective boyfriend. |

I haven't been on many dates; I'm not the dateable kind it seems.
I remember a double date once with my best friend and two Italian men, where my friend's date spoke to me more than her. We gave each other the look and made our excuses. |

I dont get how everyone finds it so weird. She probably wants her kid's opinion of you or wants to see how you react (I.e if you react with shock/disgust and weren't good with them, shed know the two of you wouldn't work)
I wouldn't find it weird at all if she let me know beforehand. |

I'm not sure if you are a parent or not but that's just not right at all. Plus I didn't know they were coming. |

I had that a few years ago with someone from here. We had just had sex and he blurted it all out, then cried. I felt very sad for him and said he probably wasn't in the right frame of mind for casual sex. |

Why would it he a safeguarding ussue? Not like she's leaving then in the foyer to go fuck someone is it?
Maybe she didnt want to let anyone down...
Seems abit far fetched to happen twice. |

It's not really the way to go when you have children. It's different if you're just meeting a friend, but not possible boyfriends. It's not fair on the children. |

I think strangest date was when I picked the lady up in my car was on the way to the pub and she wanted to stop at the grave yard on the way to show me where her ex was buried then broke down in tears in my car. Turned out he had only died 3 months before and her friends had told her to start dating again. she definitely wasn't ready and had a lot of grieving left to do. |

Might be a generational thing, my"first dates" have always been extremely casual, like a daytime coffee/something to eat or whatever, if she turned up with a kid I'd just think "oh well, I'm obviously not going to be shagging her tonight" - beyond that, I wouldn't feel the shock expressed in this thread. Can see how it would be different for a formal romantic date. |

That's a tough situation it's at that we have to stop seeing it as a date and be a good person. Friends pushing her when she wasnt ready. |

There's no way I'd have ever turned up on a first date - with a guy I didn't know - with my children. No offence to you OP but they could have turned out to be all sorts of peculiar, who'd want to expose their kids to that, or to have them confused by the 'relationship' between their mum and thus strange man?
In a weird parallel, I once had a first (and only) date with a man who told me in all seriousness (I laughed - he set me straight) that he'd like more kids and that he could see me as their mother. We'd literally only just met |

Totally agree. I've no issue talking about my kids but to meet on a 1st date for me is just an odd thing and to cap it off the 1st one wanted a kiss off me in front of her kids. We didn't go on a 2nd date. |

Wow
I can't ever imagine doing that! In fact, I think it'd take some considerable time to be actually dating someone and for me to be fairly sure it was actually going somewhere before introducing the kids to anyone. Two and a half years single and I still can't even picture that in my head! |

They were maybe used to it
When I did dating sites, I was honest that I struggle for childcare to meet and almost every guy would say "well it's only a coffee just bring the kids along" or words to that effect |

mine was flying over to Malta (no I'm not a ho)after speaking with someone for a few months online to find the weekend was spent on his Yacht even though I was terrified of open water. Spent all weekend below deck with my head near a toilet...not a good look for a 1st date. |

I met a recently divorced guy 3 times; he spent all the time moaning about his ex, talking about his ex and was late twice. He also told me how his mum had left dinners in the freezer whilst she was away, and how his Auntie had offered to do his washing ! I thought fuck it, you are boring and so not sexy. |

i had a guy cry about his ex on a date, that wasn't the worst date though.
it was boring little man who just sat there (just as bored as me) while i prattled on for over an hour making all the effort and still expected me to be horny by the end of that.

Worst date? Guy turning up wearing a tracksuit and carrying a woman's handbag! |

You jest, but after a while he told me he wasn't racist, he hated everyone (except Polish girls who were all beautiful to him-he was Polish), and then asked me if I'd had sex with a black man, because he wouldn't have sex with a woman who had. This confirmed to me that having a Masters degree doesn't equate to being intelligent. |

How does a preference for women who don't race mix equate to being thick?

You jest, but after a while he told me he wasn't racist, he hated everyone (except Polish girls who were all beautiful to him-he was Polish), and then asked me if I'd had sex with a black man, because he wouldn't have sex with a woman who had. This confirmed to me that having a Masters degree doesn't equate to being intelligent.
How does a preference for women who don't race mix equate to being thick?
Because it's a prejudice not a preference and prejudice is based in ignorance "
So, do you think Princess Charlotte will be allowed to sleep with a black man when she grows up? If not, is this due to the royal family being uneducated?
Just because you find something offensive, it doesn't mean that it's the product of an inferior intellect to your own. We don't get to bend the rules of life to suite our own view of how it should be. |

"I went on a date with the wrong guy once "
How??
My worst was last year... he swore a lot, was on his phone texting (to his Mum, he said when I challenged him, lol) and it transpired after I'd brought the first round that he'd come out without any money and was expecting me to pay for us to have food too (when I'd said earlier in the day I was broke so didn't want to get food). Bless him (or something like that he wasn't the brightest penny... he was confused by the concept of that it was possible to cook curry without chicken in it (I'm vegetarian). Needless to say I was back in my car within 15 minutes! I was most put out because didn't even get to finish my drink & I wasn't even that interested I only ended up agreeing because he'd worn me down! |

Worst date....
Used to be on Tinder, chatted to a guy for several weeks, really hit it off, and arranged for him to come visit for weekend.
He was a perfect gent & booked into local travelodge.
I'm 6', clearly stated on profile, I don't like short men.
This guy drove for nearly 2hrs to meet me, Sat in bar waiting... In walks a 5'6" midget, at least 15yrs older than his age or photos showed!
He moaned the first 20mins about what a horrible drive he'd had to get there, then told me he didn't like children, and he'd chosen not to have any with his ex wife, he knew I had 3 boys, then ordered himself a drink without offering to buy me one.
I went to the loo, and left out the side door!
Blocked him on phone & WhatsApp soon as I got to my car. |

I've not been on a proper date in years, just because i thought it wasn't really my thing! Reading some of the horror stories on this thread has just been conformation that it's definitely not my thing |

I've had the kids brought as well as parents on dates with different people. Some people aren't particularly good with boundaries.
Someone brought their parents in to the bedroom to introduce me - but that wasn't the worst aspect of the meet - it was the uncomfortable bed! |

I didn't follow any of your logic there. Give me some examples of why a rational, reasonably intelligent man would refuse to date a woman who had shagged a black guy? |

I don't think people's preferences have anything to do with intelligence! Wrongly or rightly it's usually down to past experience that puts them off a certain race, type etc ......... |

Preference would be "i don't want to fuck a black person". "I won't fuck you because you fucked a black person" is pure prejudice. |

Yes and most Poles are prejudiced towards black people, it still has absolutely zero to do with intelligence.
You are more intelligent than Adolf Hitler was, are you? He was quite prejudiced. |

Some women prefer black men and as a result can be quite negative towards white men, maybe he has experienced some of these women and doesn't want to play any part of it. I'm not saying being prejudice is right but if he was really that harsh there must be a reason for it! X |

I notice you keep dodging my question. Adolf Hitler was not an intelligent man. Good speaker, risk taker - but not intelligent. |

What question have I dodged?
You claim that prejudice equates to a lack of intelligence, I've told you it doesn't (I could write a long list of extremely prejudiced people who are infinitely more intelligent than you)
As for being more intelligent than Hitler... - Go to bed, mate. |

Maybe learn a bit about WW2 and the volumes of decisions where Hitler overrode military commanders to the detriment of the war effort.

Talented artist (would certainly be professional by today's standards), wrote a 900 page semi-autobiographical novel as a teenager, led a nation that conquered half of Europe... Less intelligent than some guy on Fabswingers, because the guy on Fabswingers likes black people.
Rational to some people is different to our rational... In Poland, it's entirely rational to be racist, as it's a right-wing nationalist country. Does the fact that it is a right-wing, Nationalist country mean that there isn't a Pole more intelligent than you? The Queen wouldnt allow her grandaughter to sleep with a black guy due to lineage, are you more intelligent than the queen? The list goes on..
Please tell me where "intelligence" comes in to it? What if you are extremely well read on the plight of black people but don't care? That makes you cruel, not stupid.
In conclusion, for the 10th time, prejudice has no inverse correlation whatsoever to intelligence. You don't appear to be racist and you don't seem at all bright, which hammers home the point. |

Well you stick to your ill conceived anecdotal stories and i'll stick with the scientific method for my evidence.
