there is a point where if it is two people do "the flirty stuff" where yes it can become cringeworthy and i do scream just take it to PM..... I also think that it can ruin the flow of good threads..

I don't like forum flirting to be honest.
If someone does it to us on a public forum I tend to ignore it.
I see comments like "judging by your pics you look stunning", "you look mighty fine to me" and "if only you lived closer" (NOT re-quoting anyone... just generalising) all very cringe-worthy 
I believe that if you find someone that attractive then PM them to say so

Really don't care. I find that not much bothers me on here really...why should it? People are free to post almost anything. In fact the only thing which bothers me even slightly is people telling others what they should not say....ironic eh?

I agree to a point, but you wouldn't go into a pub where a group of people were talking, say hello and be welcomed by all, but instead of joining in pick out one person, direct all your conversation to him, disregard the general mood of everyone else and start gyrating on his leg like a bitch in heat.
That's what it's like in the forums at times. Most are here to meet people, that's fine, so why not be discreet and take it to pm where you can go for it?

By the time I got to the end of thread, I sort of can't really remember all of the question, but I don't mind flirting, I don't mind other people flirting, and find that in general, the forums are fun but if it goes a bit far, someone will pull you in line with a line like 'get a room' or similar. |
