One of the best and most intense tennis matches i've ever seen. A big shout out to Johanna Konta for making it through to the semis.

Have to admit it left me with a bit of a 'semi' too.

I watched the last 5 minutes. The only bit of Wimbledon I've seen this year. It's not my cup of tea.

What was so refreshing was she smiled when she won and looked genuinely happy in victory and followed it through to the press conference (from the clips I've seen since).

Give me hope Johanna and Good Luck to her

Such a close match. Well done Konta eventually breaking her serve - world class.

She (Konta) is a breath of fresh air. Genuinely composed, articulate and engaging in press conferences too. This is great for British tennis and women's tennis in general.

Makes a change from the idendikit Eastern European personality less blonde tennis robot.

That said, what do we think of Halep in those shorts? Make an effort..

Don't take anything away from Simona Halep, she's a great player and worthy of her ranking.

As for the shorts? Never mind them, what about those thighs, lordy lord, real nut crackers.

Congrats to Konta ... but Ms Halep looked fine in those shorts...the little arse wiggle she did waiting to receive serve was a lovely sight

North Norfolk area

Actually since 1978.

Virginia Wade won it in 1977, and got to the semi finals the following year.

I didn't know about 1978 either, until they showed V Wade and mentioned it.
