I'm recycling this week. Throwback Wednesday or some such 
Back to my first time hosting this club. 3 weeks later I was UNLOS 
Right it's that time of the week again people. 0 meet club is open.
Our fearless leader has moved on so I will be your host from now on. I might redecorate but we'll see what sort of funds he's left behind.
Club rules
You can only join in 1 of 2 ways.
1 ... if your last meet OF ANY SORT was at least a month ago (30 days).
2... you could meet someone who is already part of 0 meet club or someone who has not had a meet yet

Just to clarify, the text from 'Right it's...' is the text from the first time I hosted the club - hence the recycling.

You probably wouldn't expect anything less from me but if the original founder has gone then you should have let the club die because it is so far away from its true intention of helping people get meets. Last week at least a lady opening offered to meet in Hull if anybody wanted.
It's now meaningless and nothing more than an other Forum egotistical look at me thread with the usual contributors more concerned in their own self interest and promotion rather than helping people who are genuinely struggling to get on the first rung of the rickety ladder of Fabswingers, some of whom could be quite overwhelmed attending a first time large gathering.

Thank you for your ever insightful input, the organisers of the social and attendees are more than aware of the challenge facing some of those attending. I have actively encouraged some of the nervous amongst us to attend and will do what I can to ensure they feel welcome. I won't be alone in this and there will be hugs a plenty.
As for egotistical I think you are mistaken, personally I love nothing more than a bit of matchmaking. So although I'm here under false pretences it's with good intentions, not to make the disillusioned amongst us feel even more so |

My point about by his thread has always been that it was specifically designed for a specific purpose and it's being taken over for the wrong reasons, in my humble opinion.
This place is a bear pit so wouldn't it be nice to have a friendly thread solely to help people rather more of the same posts, is that too much to ask? |

You probably wouldn't expect anything less from me but if the original founder has gone then you should have let the club die because it is so far away from its true intention of helping people get meets. Last week at least a lady opening offered to meet in Hull if anybody wanted.
It's now meaningless and nothing more than an other Forum egotistical look at me thread with the usual contributors more concerned in their own self interest and promotion rather than helping people who are genuinely struggling to get on the first rung of the rickety ladder of Fabswingers, some of whom could be quite overwhelmed attending a first time large gathering.
Thank you for your ever insightful input, the organisers of the social and attendees are more than aware of the challenge facing some of those attending. I have actively encouraged some of the nervous amongst us to attend and will do what I can to ensure they feel welcome. I won't be alone in this and there will be hugs a plenty.
As for egotistical I think you are mistaken, personally I love nothing more than a bit of matchmaking. So although I'm here under false pretences it's with good intentions, not to make the disillusioned amongst us feel even more so
My point about by his thread has always been that it was specifically designed for a specific purpose and it's being taken over for the wrong reasons, in my humble opinion.
This place is a bear pit so wouldn't it be nice to have a friendly thread solely to help people rather more of the same posts, is that too much to ask? "

Given the whinging that goes on I don't think I'll bother next week. If someone else wants to have a go then feel free. Maybe you can do a better job of talking to people on a thread that is meant to be fun.
It's only a forum on the internet full of people you are never likely to meet. If a thread on here generates that sort of feelings then maybe this isn't the place for you. Might be better to use that energy for something more positive, like getting a life or some shit. |

The main whiner here!
Actually I think it was set up to really help people who can't get a meet by encouraging those who can to meet those people.
My biggest whine is some, rather than actually wanting to help/meet the people who struggle to get meets, just.....well, I've previously posted what I think.
Happy to give the thread ago next week but I thought Steve was still here?

You seem to forget that you can't control wot other people do and nor can I or anyone els for that matter.
Yes I agree thar are a fue people that pop up in hear and don't use the thread for its purpous BUT others are using it how it shood be used and sum people are obaying roul 2 as well. So Sum people are offering to meet people Hoo find it hard to get a meet.
The fact thay are miles away so you carnt meet them is no ones falt.
And if you think its hard for you then emajon how hard it is for me to get a meet.

Club Rules
You can join in 1 of 2 ways.
(1) If you've had no meet's whatsoever ever since joining or your last meet was more than 30 days / one month ago then you're very welcome to join.
So post an ad to meet or just have a chat
(2) If you meet a lot and your last meet was less than 30 days ago / one month. Then you can join by trying to meet a member of the club and join in that way.
And under roul 2 if you post a meet.....
(EXZARMPALL... Anyone want to meet for a coffee in Margate)
Under roul 2 if sumone asepts your offor you shood meet them nomatter hoo it is.
And yes, socials count as meet's !
The club is not for those that don't meet at all.
The purpose of the club is to find and get meet's.
