Today ive made myself feel like a right heartless bitch after reading some of the threads today. Nothing could actually be further from the truth but i do wonder if i have the same emotions as everyone else

It's just cos you don't understand a single persons plight on here because you have Jay. If you were completely single and no one to have an emotional attachment to you'd understand more the need that some single people have for closeness rather than just seeking sex for pleasure.

I wouldn't say you were a heartless bitch though.

Is it heartless though or is it a case of not understanding how they feel?

I read things on here & other social media platforms & many times I'm rolling my eyes thinking "really?! get a grip"

I've noticed some of your posts can be quite blunt. It doesn't mean your heartless, you just say it as it is at times and there's nothing wrong with that. I probably do it myself

I don't know to what you're referring but I sometimes feel as if everyone is telling a person what they want to hear rather than what will actually help them. I don't think being the lone voice doing that is heartless.

I've not always been single and when I was in a relationship o ised tonstruggke to have empathy for when my single friends moaned about being fucked over by guys.

I don't even know what this thread in relation to it's just the only topic I can think of when you don't see things from the ops point of view and question their reasons for feeling like they do.

I think we all have days like that, some days I'm quite emotional and heartfelt others; less so.

I was going to make reference to suffering fools so I might be on one of those latter days.

Possibly lacking in empathy. A plight that has befell quite a few people on here.

I have more empathy than I want; it's worse, I think.

There's a difference to being honest than being heartless.

Some people do need to think before they type. What you might see as being honest to that person they might see as very hurtful.

Being blunt isn't being heartless.. its being... well blunt. I wear my heart on my sleeve but will say a spade is a spade.

Sometimes posts on here require blunt answers.

Either that or I am heartless too.. although I tend to type a post now and think.. sod it. Cant be bothered

I've noticed a couple of comments that could be seen as negative, including one directed at me.

If it's any consolation I didn't consider it to be heartless or bitchy, just expressing your opinion which you have a right to do.

Surely we are all adults here and can take a bit of criticism.

You just carry on being yourself If anyone doesn't like it

, that's their problem not yours.

Every time I see certain phrases.. 'I call a spade a spade' or usernames like 'fiestybitch696969' I wonder if it's people (often women or couples) using a online persona which they wish they had the confidence to use in real life.

Disagreeing with a post doesn't necessarily mean a lack of empathy or even a lack of sympathy. It just sometimes means a difference of opinion. The key is to appreciate that and not take, or use it as an excuse to dole out offence..

You have to be heartless or at least not give a shit about some of the things here if you took everyone's problem or issues to heart you would end up going mad, it's different if it's someone you consider a friend. I must admit there are a lot of treads on here I look at and think 'for fuck sake just crawl back into your shell'

This is essentially the biggest issue with this or indeed any forum.

I wish in real life there was an option to delete a comment after its come out of my mouth.. as while if I said it.. I meant it.. being as blunt as I am has its draw backs.

And I'm way quieter and more refined on here than in person

i'm not sure what the comments are or what they're about as i haven't seen them but sometimes it's easier to be not emotionally invested and be more sensible or rational when you are not involved with that person or their problem personally.

that could come across as heartless, insensitive, or even tactless. just depends who you're talking to. and sometimes an emotional or sensitive person will not appreciate any of those sentiments also.

it's likely a miscommunication and sensitivity issue and neither person is wrong for being who they are as a person. we just fluctuate emotionally within ourselves and as different people.

Having given this a little more more thought, i think its more of an issue when advise is given wuthout being asked for. The stronger stuff seems to get chucked around then.

Maybe you have got desensitized to members predicaments having seen the same kinds of posts regularly, It can be annoying . It's not good to always sugar coat stuff, sometimes you have to call a spade a spade. XXX
