Ok so we all rely on medicines at sometime during our life...

Some products and surgeries are developed by first testing them on animals which can involve inflicting those animals with heath problems..

So should animal lovers and vegetarians avoid products and treatments derived in these ways?....

Go-on get stuck in ...

anyone against animal cruelty would not be using these products. some people are vegetarian just because they don't like meat, so maybe not those people.

i'm very much into neurology and psychology and sometimes read about the experiments done and do wonder if this is the right career path to think about taking and it puts me off. things like causing lesions to animals brains, giving them tumours, etc.

"anyone against animal cruelty would not be using these products. "

You realise all medicines have to be tested on animals before they can be licensed.

So effectively if you are "against animal cruelty" you're going to have a very short life.

North Bucks

I know someone who refuses to knowingly use any type of drug or product that has been tested on Animals no matter how far down the chain.

Now that's a serious Vegan. I respect the dedication.

I just love steak and codeine too much.

loads of people don't even need meds at all. it's only recently that many have become dependent on medicines, partly down to better diagnoses now but also partly down to poorer life style choices. but not everyone uses meds.

i never used them until i got diabetic and needed help with that. spent 20 yrs being diabetic and not on meds also.

Given its this site take the clap.

You catch that its a quick trip to the clinic.

Or if you refuse all medicine tested on animals you will have to live with that till the day you die

pretty sure i'm too young.

i'm not vaccinated against everything. my mum heard about them using egg proteins in the vacs and as i had eczema at the time she decided not to vaccinate me.

i've been reasonably health apart from the diabetes. and have injected myself with cow insulin when pregnant.

What do egg proteins have to do with it? I've got eczema and I'm vaccinated up to the eyeballs

she thought as i already had one allergy then i might be allergic to eggs as well and didn't want to risk it. i was actually very sheltered from allergy stuff as a baby from what she told me.
