A world of my own |
I expect I may get slated for this, however possibly less than a man posting it would.
It sometimes strikes me on here that men are expected to just do it and aren't "allowed" to want attraction or to be picky. Should they just be grateful for the chance?
Where as women and couples can be as fussy as we want?
The white knights will always step in to defend a woman's right to change her mind if they have a meet and don't feel it, but if a guy does that he's suddenly a time waster, idiot, ruining it etc..
I'm curious.. why is this? |

I can kind of see where you are coming from but I think the key thing is SOME feel that men should just get on with it.
Of course men shouldn't just be grateful but I think because men outnumber women and couples it sort of stems from that?
I think that men, women and couples can be timewasters. Anyone has the right to decide they no longer want to meet but I guess the manner in which that is handled is what affects quite a few views on it? |

Probably because of the ratio of men to women....it becomes a sort of buyers market.
But some guys can be picky too...im not really here for any holes a goal and if there is no connection even if it may only be pure lust then what's the point in meeting...

imagine it ..it's 2am..and you get asked for a met(its happened to me lots), I immediately say I cant drive...or working in the morning... then get blocked..or they can then say the sites fulla timewasting males..
aye..FUCK right off.

yeah sure you can change your mind but tell the person you're meeting. women usually cancel but with enough warning, men should too. so nobody is forcing men to meet, they're more complaining men shouldn't piss people about.
plus here any form of patriarchy seems to be looked down and the more vocal mendo get that women don't have to be forced into anything.
i'm sure some think coz men are desperate then they will fuck anything, and some women are entitled pricks also but coz they're in the minority nobody says anything much? |

right coz there are fucking shit loads of messing about men, people tend to stop giving a shit and are expecting an easy fuck...it's that swinging attitude of 'this should be fun and easy', and let's be honest being given a load of bullshit off some selfish prick is not 'fun'.
coz a lot of guys present themselves as they will 'fuck anything', coz that's what swinging is having a variety of partners, then maybe they look not fussy?
coz a lot of guys ARE desperate and will fuck anything then that is exactly what predatory types are looking for,the desperate. and let's be honest here, the forums and local updates will give you an idea of how desperate many men are. so desperados you do yourselves and men no favours here.

If a guy actually turned up to a meet and then on seeing me decides he didn't want to do anything sexual with me then I wouldn't class him as a time waster. I class time wasters and dick heads as the ones that promise a meet and give you all the chat and then complete radio silence with no explanation as to what you did wrong.

this topics not about me though, it's asking a question and that's my answer to it.
i get loads of bullshit in my inbox, it's pretty obvious, and i see the complaints from others about the same.
i do know plenty of people get into a cba mode coz of all the crap. i personally cba to meet anyone myself any more coz the general feel i get for men on here is MOST men talk outta their arse. most men expect a service. most men are only interested in getting their dick wet.most men are boring. most men don't have a clue what women want or they don't care.
you know how many messages i get saying 'you are exactly what i want' or something similar. nothing about what they can offer me but that they just want me.
i'd probably love the clubs if i was more voyeuristic, coz that's where i think the real people are who enjoy similar to me. but can't get to them so don't go. i'm fine not meeting off here, i know this shit is not for me. |

There's nothing wrong with standards. Everyone should have them.
I'm not here for notches on a bedpost. I need to be attracted to someone and without that I'm not interested. The double standards will always be there but the friends I've made along the way have proven that there are good people out there that view me with respect and not just as a thing they can use,etc. |

From experience I have found a huge amount of single women and couples that are fakes and time wasters......not turning up to meets, chatting then going cold and even blocking.....

Fab is what it is. For sure its about how much effort you put in. I think its safe to say to an extent single ladies dont need to put as much effort in as single men, aside from clearing their inbox . And i think couples somewhere in the middle. Of course it will vary from person to person. That fact will undoubtly mean some men will settle for want of a better word. |

I think we should all have standards. I know that Fab is very much a women's world, but some of the fastidious profiles I've seen from some users make me realise why guys get such a bee in their bonnet. |

Everybody has the right to their opinion but I just think we shouldn't just jump to judge or talk big cos for the particular person in question might be different in every circumstance call it time waster , picky , trash or straight idiot .
