Mums - how would you like us to use "mum bod" to describe out of shape ladies regardless of if they are in fact a mum?

No... it's all "yummy mummy" when it's the other way round. God help a man if he generalised about all mums having out of shape bodies!

Because I'm a dad!!! Why should the word dad become a simile for out of shape! Don't generalise about us dads ffs!

What don't you get about that???

Yes I'm negative when there's something negative said by others about a group I'm a part of of! It's called the truth - dad bod means out of shape and not all dads are out of shape so "dad bod" is an insult to all dads.

And... negative is in my blood if you look at my username

Be quiet. Lots of things get said about out of shape mothers. At least we have an excuse. You have your stomach stretched rapidly over nine months and see what happens to you.

Anyway i do believe "dad bods" have been coined by men on fab.

Just where I need to be.

I like a dads bod. For me it's a description that means the body is not gym sculptured. As with various body labels the spectrum of sizes can be great. I have always liked a bit of softness round the tummy but strong arms and thighs.

"I like a dads bod. For me it's a description that means the body is not gym sculptured."

That definition still includes me because I'm a dad and my body isn't gym sculpted. Im not even a member of a gym.

And there's no such thing as a mum bod either - mums have all kinds of bodies depending on the genetics and lifestyle choices. I seen mums with better bodies than non mums all the time.

"Mums - how would you like us to use "mum bod" to describe out of shape ladies regardless of if they are in fact a mum?

No... it's all "yummy mummy" when it's the other way round. God help a man if he generalised about all mums having out of shape bodies!

Why are you so negative, you don't even have a so called dad bod so why the attitude?

Because I'm a dad!!! Why should the word dad become a simile for out of shape! Don't generalise about us dads ffs!

What don't you get about that???

Yes I'm negative when there's something negative said by others about a group I'm a part of of! It's called the truth - dad bod means out of shape and not all dads are out of shape so "dad bod" is an insult to all dads.

And... negative is in my blood if you look at my username

Yeah...ok. Anyway back to cheerful people can't be doing with negativity today. My ex was like that negative all the flipping time it's so tiring. I got rid.

I agree with this point

You slipped off that fence then I see,I told you to be careful!"

Did they collect any splinters on the way off

I could quite plausibly refute that assertion...

but I won't because above being grumpy , I'm honest and this world has indeed made me intolerant and quick to anger. Shit bod is no way for me to characterise anyone else either.

No hard feelings folk x

Except you already did characterise the men with a "dad bod" by saying it only really means shit bod

So you may as well use the coloquially terminology of dad bod anyway, no better than the attitude you're trying to protest against in fact it's worst outright telling people they look shit isn't considered very polite in most circles

^ That's inappropriate at this point - if you actually read what you quoted me saying in my last post, I ACKNOWLEDGED it was wrong to use the term shit bod.

Besides that, my point is valid and what people are talking about when they say dad bod is indeed a shit bod so fuck it - deal with it lol

Yes in my eyes you have a dads body. You appear to think it's a derogatory term, I don't.Whether you are a dad or not it's just a term for men who have a body that hasn't gone to pot or too gym toned. My description of dad's bod will be different to others.

No, it's a dad bod because I'm a father. Its toned because I'm naturally around 5% body fat. This is my genetics not gym.

The conclusion we must all agree on is that I'm the exception and not representative of most men whether they have kids or not. I shall accept term dad bod and remember that the negative stereotype doesn't apply to me personally
