Are Fabs treated like a stealth wink?

Sometimes as I rattle around the forums I see a comment that I like or interests me so I have a look at the profile.

As a bloke I will end up having a sneaky peek at the pictures and will fab any of the pics I like there.

Do people see fabs as a stealth wink, or just an appreciation of the picture?

Just an appreciation of a picture by us. Others see it differently though because sometimes we'll fab a picture and the person takes it as an expression of interest.

I've fabbed loads. And it is an appreciation of a pic there are some very good classy pics on here. Other times I Fab because I thing the person is pretty sexy. I do tbwuite know what the recipient of my fabs think, but either way, I'm saying they look pretty cool.

It's the pattern of fabbing that makes the difference between simple photo appreciation and interest. When someone fabs *all* your pictures at once for example, it's very common to then get a wink or message shortly after. And you begin to strongly suspect whose hotlist you're on whenever you put up a new pic and the same people fab it very soon after.

Our filters are set pretty high, so when every single picture is Fabbed, we perceive it more as a desperate attempt to get attention.

I wouldn't take a fab as a wink personally.

I think I've fabbed maybe ten pics in all the time I've been on fab.

Purely because the picture has been utterly amazing, not because I've wanted to express an interest in that person.
