"A childrens home that isnt ruled by money and actually teaches kids how to survive in the real world "
It's going to have to be ruled by money cos it needs to make a profit so I can stay fat and if children are going to learn how to survive in the real world then they need to be selfish money grabbing gits like the rest of society. |

a swingers club that is based on the senses, controlled lighting (or even a room thats pitch black) aphrodisiac smells, lots of textures, different tempretures, a massive wet room, gorgeous outdoor gardens with a waterfall, plenty of tree's and fences/benches.. id love to design a place like that. |

"CnS - i'd love to go to a place like that! X "
ive loads of idea's around my head now.. if only money was unlimited and grew on tree's
would be like a mansion complex for adult swinging weekends. In the middle of nowhere. Very secluded and private. Having never been to a club would require a fair bit of in depth market research into what people actually want |

A bed and Breakfast that is child friendly. i have fancied running a BnB for many years and think this is a gap in the market. Many offer very little for kids, we are situated near the Roman wall and there are a lot of BnBs but very few that dont charge over the top prices for family rooms.I wud also offer a babysitting service, link with local places of interest to families,a play area in the garden.
With more people choosing to vacation here think it could be suceessful. Not everyone wants kids about, but they are already catered too.The BnB in our village does noy even allow kids in.
if only i had the quarter of a million needed for the property |

From experience in a previous job, if I had the money, I would set up a Truck Stop, where drivers could have their breaks or park up overnight.
So many have closed down over the past 3-4 years, and with Truck crime a major issue, there is money to be made from such a venture. |

I'd like a touring campsite with beautifully planted gardens and private hedges around all of the plots. Immaculate shower facilities, a clubhouse with lots of activities that don't cater to charvers only. With a swimming pool, hot tub and sauna and a community bbq area, right next to a lake with wildfowl and a bandstand for entertainment on the hot summer nights. |

Id set up a business, which councells could invest in, and that is like a private police force, E.G
an are with 100,000 people, you could hire 10 people to walk the streets of that area, 5 pairs of 2, then you could have 2 cars patrolling, and 2 people doing the paper work phone calls side, they would all have walkie talkies, or special phone, and the business would pride it self on not having to much papper work, and would work closely with police, we would have a scheme where we employed and trained ex-servicemen and women. Private lawa enforcers, it will happen eventually. |

Community support officers!! ... Its already here but not very good lol.
And as for paper work, That will never disappear .. Imagine how many criminals could get off as the police dont have any documented reports and evidence |

Food.....When people walk around a shopping centre for example they can window shop without coming home with anything, but they have to eat.
Because of this Coffee Shops, Cafes, and Take Aways are thriving in the recession.....so it would have to be food or drink based for me at the moment.
I spoke to a guy who sells fudge at a Farmers Market this week, he never takes less than £250 in a Six hour stint....he doubles up on his stock purchase and always makes at least £100 a day after paying out for his stall pitch and petrol.
Sandwich delivery to offices is also very lucrative and will earn you a good living. |

From what I hear, the beauty business is booming (nails, waxing, hairdressing etc)
The people I have talked to about the industry have all said that they are doing well right now.
I suppose people are keeping a little money to spoil themselves with a manicure or hair cut. |

If you live around my neck of the woods simply:
1. Collect the 'charity - old clothes wanted' platic bags that I seem to receive on a daily basis through my letterbox.
2. Put them in a safe place until say December.
3. Then sell them to the kids to use as a cheap sledge on any snow filled hills of your town |

Where we live there are more hairdressers, tanning salons and beauty bars than you can shake a stick at. You would expect everybody to be perfectly coiffered but strangely aren't. God knows how they make a living with so much competition but they do |

Im not sure how it would work to make money but would like to pilot a scheme where people with food that is due to 'go out of date' can take it to a place and swap it for other peoples food that is about to go out of date
say you bought a pizza from a chilled section at a supermarket and it goes out of date in 2 days but you know your not likely to eat it and have no room to freeze it.. just take it to the place and exchange it or donate it.
Could work for tinned and frozen foods too perhaps.. |

Ideal world?
Small scale forestry holidays. Look for sites of not very good agricultural land - 4-5 acres, plant with trees and put a teepee or log cabin on each site - sell it as the perfect green retreat holiday.
For contemplative retreats? Convert old church vestries, side chapels or halls into single bedrooms for individuals wanting a break from the real world - there's one on Holy Island where you can even get a reduced rate if you do some work for the church involved.
There'd always be a micro brewery to run in the spare time, or maybe the consultancy to run if ever I get enough cash int he bank to support myself for a year.... |

I am setting up a business right now lol - retail hand-made arts/crafts. Mostly jewellery at the moment but also talking to artists and artisan chocolatier too.
Also researching the market for certain leather goods of a more specialist nature so please help when I finally get round to starting a thread asking peoples opinions!!

I would say in the past two years Millfield area is just betting shops, cafes which have just been raided for drugs again, and mini markets. Go up a few miles and there are about 6 if not more its ridiculous. |

give it a year or 2 and gradually one by one they'll be shutting down and paddy power would prob be the one that survives the longest. but time will tell, we might both still be here in 2/3 years time,,,hehe |
