Sexual health room on forum

couple, us we him her.

As grown ups and as swingers we should take our sexual health seriously.

We have regular checks and try to keep informed.

But I think it would be a very sensible and responsible thing if this site had a section on the forum and maybe even a room in the chatroom allocated solely for the purpose of discussing sexual health.

This could have sticky links directly to sexual health information.

As a community we discuss lots of stuff mostly Crap.

But in my opinion we don't discuss sexual health no where nearly enough.

I am guessing that the difficult thing is going to be people willing to talk about it without people passing judgment or even letting others know if they have issues.

But what about a monthly thread by a sexual health professional where a q&a takes place and people can ask privately and replies can be posted on the page without giving usernames.

Look there are lots of things to be discussed with this and I am sure that it will get poo pooed by the haters and the argumentative among us.

But as the vast majority are sensible intelligent people.

Thoughts?

Preston

I think you've just nominated yourself to make sexual health a regular feature. You could start a weekly thread. Like the 0 meet club etc, only a different topic each week

I think this would be a bit difficult, as a health professional. You'll get people wanting advice and the answer generally is always- go and get checked!! No one can diagnose over the internet, or they certainly shouldn't be

I di agree sexual health should be talked about more often but I do think a forum would be counter productive??

Well obviously it's also going to end with get checked out.

But definitely we should be talking about it.

Even if it was just some sticky link's to NHS information on sexual health services.

It is a good idea.

It might not work as some people would rather be in denial and mask symptoms for fear of judgement/ridicule/ruining a chance of a meet.

Just look at any thread that mentions bareback.

A sexual health page on the main site would be a good place for links, or details of sexual health clinics in each region? Like the clubs page but for health?

Are you suggesting that people should post on a specific forum asking for advice, because they think they may have a sexually transmitted infection?

Just to clarify, I am not The Brain of Jools and the brain. I know how easily confused some get on here.

NO.

I am suggesting that we talk about sexual health like grown ups not bicker like children.

Clearly not as much interest as I anticipated.

In which case I also assume that everyone takes their sexual health as importantly as we do and have educated yourselves and don't feel the need to discuss it.

In which case fair enough.

I think sexual health and safe, responsible playing have left the building. Barebacking seens to be on the rise on fab. It seems fashionable.

The world has gone mad.

I think it's more a case that any threads on sexual health boil down to the same two arguments. It'd probably just end up like the politics forum where the same dozen people argue the same points, all trying to shout louder to force their opinion on others.

when does a discussion stay on topic - just start a thread whenever needed -
