Since money is becoming a little bit tight for some, are people buying more second hand purchases or are people in the mind of, well if it breaks im going to have to buy yet another one so might as well just buy new in the first place?

Are people too proud to buy second hand goods?

some people are too proud, i'd never buy second hand clothes, but dvd's, xbox games are fine, and i suppose most people think nothing of buying a motor second hand.

Depends on what it is....some things we would buy second hand and others we wouldn't.

on a well known social networking site there are lots of 'buy and sell' type of groups cropping up. Think its a great way to recycle items that are no longer wanted or needed

I made a small fortune in selling off my daughters baby clothes Thinking of doing a carboot sale for her toys.

I sold off all our daughters baby / toddler clothes and her old toys, DVDs etc...always came in handy to put towards any new stuff she wanted.

I've got no problems wearing 2nd hand clothes. Afterall, once you've worn your new clothes a couple of times they're no longer new.

Socks and Y Backs are a no brainer... The rest is fair game.

I once attended a VVVIP cocktail "soirée" in an Oxfam tail suit..;-);-)

Yeah wouldn't go for underwear but anything else is fine. Love mooching round the charity shops and second hand places. Have picked up many bargains and great stuff over the years.

Love the site that recyles your unwanted stuff in your local area to stop landfill

We did the same. Almost impossible to sell afterwards, as all new mothers seemed to want new.

little house on the praire

I love charity shops and used to love carboots but cant get to them these days. Anything apart from intimate items. Bought two books i had wanted last week £1.49 the two great cause i really wanted them.

When callum was younger his friend used to come on holiday. A couple of weeks before they would get a pasting table and set up out the front all there old toys and videos and over 2/3 they would make about £70 each spending money.

I tend to give stuff away rather than sell it. Im not proud at all
