the good lands, the bad lands, the any where you may want me lands |
never too hot 30 degrees c is just getting warm, 40 degrees is more like what you can call hot. People just have to re-adjust their pattrn of life to remain comfortable. If other european countries can manage it there is no reason why we couldn't here. |

It's warming up by the minute but quite bearable up here. I get envious when I see the forecast showing 30c down south as that's where I'm from, but the reality is that I'd probably moan like unpaid prossie if I was down there lol. |

I love the heat. We just got back fro Turkey where it was near 40 every day.
We live just outside Truro, and so quite near the coast, so we get the sea breezes. It's nice for walking out because you don't tend to get too sweaty |

Its lovely.. I hate it when its dark and cold.. happy as anything when its warm and sunny..
Considering if I have time in between tasks and housework to go lay in the sun for a bit.
And too hot is when its above 30degrees..

Loving this weather
Can never be too warm. I holiday in India most years just before monsoon so can cope with the heat and being muggy. I just do what a lot of people in the warmer countries do - up earlier, slow down in the middle of the day, drink plenty, dress correctly (that doesnt mean undress lol) and keep the house well aired so there is always a cool room to retire to depending on time of day
We must enjoy this weather, only too soon will the rain and wind return |

Because of where we 'sit' on this god forsaken planet of ours our temperatures/ weather (saw a programme the other week about the UK weather) are 'determined' by several factors. Hot fronts, cold fronts and both together with north atlantic drift and siberia weatherfronts all contribute to our climate.
When we do occassionally get the odd 30 degrees we automatically assume that it is hot simply because we are not used to sustained high temperatures for long periods of time. The hot climate on the continent, daft as it may sound, is a different type of heat and because the continent get sustained periods of heat they are used to it.
At the tail end of August and beginning of September last year, whilst on holiday in Tenerife, on four consecutive days the temperature peaked at 47...yes forty seven..degrees. Now that is what you call hot. For the entire two week duration the temperatures (daytime) did not dip below 34 degrees.
Drink plenty of water and you'll be fine. |
