I think I'm right in saying that on this site, you can only wink someone once within a certain time period, right?
Well one of the annoyances from people, is the bombardment of messages that happens quite often when no response is received - so, how difficult would it be to code into the site, a safeguard against this, stopping people from sending more than one email (without a response) within a certain timeframe? Say, a week.
Thoughts on whether this is a good/bad idea? |

"That wouldn't work for me I can be having 2 conversations simultaneously with the same person "
It is easily done...
You reply to someone as they reply to you then you remember to say something else so you end up having two conversations in parallel.
I imagine that is how it works anyway |

"I thought if you didn't delete the winks then that mean't they couldn't wink you again?"
It goes after 30 days, and you can be winked/wink again.
Although I had one guy spam me with winks after I told him no |

"Have I explained this badly in the OP?"
OP I can receive more than one mail from the same person minutes apart and I wish to receive mail from them. I may be on the forum and don't reply instantly. With your idea the 2nd message would have been declined |

Gotcha - would that matter though, since you're already talking to that person?
What I'm talking about is attempting to filter out the pestering. |

That is about it. If you leave the email unread, you would effectively block that person until you read it. |

Can you explain a bit more why you feel that way? Pestering on here is a major problem, and major reason for a lot of irritation on the site - it also affects the people that don't pester. |

What if you sent another message under a different subject heading though? |

How about using the block filter to stop those pesky message re-offenders? That is something that already exists. Usually, those that complain the loudest about something are those less inclined to use the tools available.
There are many times that i press the send button and then think of something else or pressed send accidently. I don't want to wait for the other person reply before i can add to my previous message. I think the idea suggested in the op would be irritating. |

The block option only comes into play after 100's or emails have been sent though?
In the example you've described, that wouldn't apply - you'd still be able to reply on the same thread many times over. I'm talking about new threads to the same person being blocked. |

Huh? I can block you now with no messages being sent? |
