I like a bit of porn, nothing better than stunning lustful visuals of animalistic passion, being played out for entertainment.
But does anyone else think that porn is going to be its own undoing?
whenever i look at a porn site, there are trends that I have started to see that make me less than comfortable, models that look a little to inocent, taboo's that are taboo for a reason, and sheer horific visuals that I wouldn't dream of doing to another human being (and that's saying something)
I just think that the direction that porn is heading, is too extreme, and centrers around violation, and degredation, instead of lust and passion
IDK maybe I'm getting old |

Most Porn is not reality.
I don't feel the need to abuse a woman and any woman who wanted that isn't the type i would meet anyway.
And yes a lot of porn is going to far but there must be a market for it or they wouldn't do it, but its not for me personally. |

Some if it is really, really bad, and it's infecting real life - you only need to look at the statuses and meet requests on here talking about being "ruined" or "destroyed". Thankfully there's a bit of a fightback happening in the porn world, but it's up to the customer to see that it succeeds. |

if you look at relevant research ,there is a direct correlation between the increase in readily available violent porn, and violence against women, especially with younger people, many of whom have been introduced to violent porn as the norm.
you only have to look at some of the messages younger men send..very aggressive, viciously misogynistic...and if ive questioned them, ive been told 'but thats what girls like?' some of them, though they realise porn may not be real life, definitely get left with the impression that women want rough sex , and enjoy being treated like objects...which, before i get jumped on, is fine if a woman is into that, but the assumption that that is what all women want and should be treated like is worrying. Violence against women is at epidemic levels and the portrayal of women as disposable, useable objects is pretty scary. |

I second this and it's going to be one of those awkward father son chats i have in the future but i feel it's very important for them to know how you really treat a woman and will make my thoughts known to them very clearly.

it's really the only way that teenagers will learn..as with anything else, they will learn more from the attitudes of the men around them than they will learn from porn..same for girls...there's something going very badly wrong with the way young women are seeing themselves. |

There's so much porn these days that we become desensitised to it. So it has to ramp up to the next level to be exciting or titilating - hence the 'extreme' porn that seems to be all the rage.
Thing is then people watch it and think that's the norm, when it isn't. When I was growing up it wasn't 'mainstream' to cum over a ladies face. Now if you don't do a sticky facial to a lass you're not doing it right.. it seems to be a basic part of sex now. It's standard stuff now.
I imagine in a generations time extreme or aggressive type sex and violent throat fucking and gagging and the like will be seen as 'vanilla' sex with porn moving on to ever more extremes.

yes, i can see that younger guys are influenced, but it isn't very young guys making it...and older men are perfectly well aware of exactly what the difference between reality and fantasy is..and some are choosing to treat women the way some of them do becasue they can get away with it..and they are the ones responsible for influencing younger men just as much as porn is. |

ive watched porn for years and yes there does seem to be trend towards the more hardcore side of it. I think this has a lot to do with availability via the internet. whatever your seedy mind can think of then you can guarantee that someone else has already thought of it and made a video of it. and its all there in cyberland waiting for you. years ago we had to make do with a video cassette that had been handed around umpteen people or a few magazines that someone had found in a hedgerow. its so much easier nowadays. perverts have never had it so good |

Do you think there will ever be a backlash against the industry, where viewers say enough is enough?
I saw something the other day this couple enjoying a threesome, (mmf) and the female looks into the eyes of this guy and starts whispering to him to come.
It was the most honest to God eroticism thing I had seen in a long time, and the best of it was there wasn't even a genital close up. |

See when I were a lad, the worst thing that could happen if you took porn as gospel was you would be banned from ordering pizza from the place with the female delivery driver, or you would take a job as a photocopy repair man, praying just praying |

Sex sells. People will always want more, if that's content or excitement. What was once exciting will become vanilla. So as a result porn gets more exciting. Though not everyone will agree with what exciting is and personal taste doesn't always come into it. But something new and exciting (as an example taboo) is stimulating for a reason. |

When I were a lad it was Page 3, then in later teens managed to find Men Only etc (in the woods - where else) which amazingly showed womens furry bits too.
Not 'til much later did we get access to a 5th generation VHS copy of actual sex from my mates, mates dad from work.
Instant access to virtually any genre of porn, with virtually no restrictions can't be easy for someone with no experience to get their heads round. |

Could be backlash to the emasculation and denigration of men since the 1990s.
Today's young men have been socially castrated from birth, brought up to be ashamed of themselves and the instincts and feelings that distinguish them from females.

i read once its mainly to do with shock tactics
like a horror film in 1950 had them running scared from cinema same film today would have us laughing
at UCL they researched that we have become immune to what we see around us and as we become use to me of the violent scenes and so on, we become oh well seen and look for more graphic and this can be said for all forms of medium and porn is included |

I watch a lot of porn and I prefer to watch the extreme ones as it satisfy me more, but I do mix it up with some lesbian seduction to even it out.
I reckon the future of porn is where we all have a virtual reality head set to be in the scene, it is allready on the market, but it would be more realistic, so we would be the porn stars |

Here's one example of the kind of hate directed at men in recent times that typifies the trend among many so called liberals, feminists and progressives -
In 2013 the Labour MP Diane Abbott made a damning speech about Britain’s men and boys, smugly announcing that masculinity was ‘in crisis’.
"Male culture is a ‘celebration of heartlessness; a lack of respect for women’s autonomy and the normalisation of homophobia"
Anyone with even a shred of honesty and any grip on reality knows man bashing is standard among women and viewed as acceptable criticism rather than sexist, mendacious bitching and hating.
Look at the beta males with their hair in a bun, plucked eyebrows, skin tight jeans and ironic beard and tattoos. You really don't see it?! |

Those incidents might happen, and some men might like dressing like that. It doesn't mean men are emasculated and it certainly doesn't justify a 'backlash' of violent porn, or anything else . Ridiculous, dangerous train of 'thought' .

Your use of the phrase "beta males" is revealing. Your reaction to men who dress, act and present themselves differently to you is to demean and disparage them - that suggests that the problem is your own insecure sense of manhood, not the society you live in. |

I've not watched porn for a long time now,I find it boring if I'm honest.
I do find it interesting though about the comments about young men being influenced by this new porn and their attitudes. Does no one think that young womens attitudes towards sex and porn has changed. May be the young guys are only doing what's the normal in their age group. Once you step out of that age group then the differences becoming noticeable. In everyday life I've noticed that the attitudes of young men and women are very similar these days,so why would they be different when it comes to sex. |

So, do you feel 'socially castrated' and need to watch violent porn to regain your masculinity? If not, why would anyone else? It doesn't hold water, it's just apologist for losers.

Nope, I reached manhood before the denigration of men had undermined it.
Those males born in the decades that followed have been tought that exclusively or typical male traits are faults to be ashamed of.
If a male is assertive with a female counterpart, he's a bully. If he approaches a female romantically or sexually that doesn't fancy him, he's a misogynist or a sexual predator but if she fancies him, he's good. If a man speaks up for men in general he's sexist. If a woman does, she a strong independent woman.
I'm very secure in my male identity and have no interest in porn that portrays the objectification of anyone, male or female.

It's hard to say. A lot of porn actresses say they only do what they want to do and do what they enjoy and won't hear anything else. I think the problem lies with the actual porn companies, they want to get men hooked on it as it's their income. Also it being accessible when people are too young gives ideas to people who can't understand it and it just gets worse overtime |

ive been looking into it. It's quite worrying.
It's as if there's an agenda among those behind the porn and entertainment industries to bring about acceptance of behaviour and lifestyle that corrupts the individual and erodes society as a whole
I suppose if your industry makes 14 billion a year out of men living with their parents and wanking to their product, they don't want make porn that inspires the viewer to find a real life partner - a scone depicting mutually respectful and conciderate interaction might get the guy on POF. Get him into unrealistic, abusive interaction and jel we a wanker forever more, making them richer.
