Is it just me or are adverts today not as they used to be years ago?
There used to be some really great adverts when I was a kid like the cadbury's buttons advert based on a nursery rhyme or the milkman adverts with the animated milk bottles.
It just seems to me that adverts today don't have much imagination and are not as entertaining. |

The only advert I can think of that stands out for me in recent times is the sunlife over 50's one ...
Either I don't watch a lot of them anymore or I whizz through them to get to the next programme |

I don't watch adverts aimed at children anymore.....at that time of day I'm out riding my scooter in the park

Think is because there are so many ways to avoid the adverts these days. We record 90% of our viewing and skip through the ads

It's understandable that there are still some good adverts these days. It's probably that I haven't watched much TV recently to notice lol
I do know that adverts do get creative when it's either Halloween or Christmas. I loved that advert for Asda showing a family of werewolves looking for costumes their cubs want to wear. I thought it was a cute advert and very imaginative. The Christmas advert for McDonalds was so sweet with the toy shop doll hooking up with a toy resembling Buzz Lightyear. |

The little toddler singing Proud Mary was annoying first time round. A lesson there in not giving a kid a load of E number sweets before a long car journey.
There's 2 Kenzo perfume ads now and I'm warming to their bizarreness. They remind me of Sia videos.

I sure miss those animated adverts that advertised chocolates and sweets for kids. The iced gems advert was a good one where the kids help a bear find his iced gems.
"Iced gems. The snack you share with a bear"
Another good one was the Trio adverts parodying the banana boat song. I'm glad to see this chocolate biscuit bar back in the supermarkets.
"TRIIIIO! TRIIIIIO! I WANT A TRIO AND I WANT ONE NOW!" |
