So my router is upstairs

My TV box downstairs

I asked Virgin can they move router to downstairs

They want 90 quid to do it

A quick google search suggests it's possible to buy a signal splitter and two f cables and manually do the job with no noticeable loss of signal x

Has anyone tried this or got any advice? X

There are some very good power line adaptors to get signal elsewhere in property .

If you move the hub yourself and there's then issues with your broadband you may find you won't be covered for it as not Virgins work .

Well i would recommend either power lines if your electrics are decent they will be fine. The only thing with trying to manaually move te network side of the router yourself you will make the line thinks is longer than it is and reduces your performance and sometimes stability.

Though I mainly work on BT circuits I can't fully say the impact of you do it on virgins coax network

I am not very techy but as virgin is cable be sure whatever it is you are buying is cable compatible.
