Watched a prog recently about a woman who had a lot of body/facial hair and she systematically set about getting everything electrolysed. She has zero body/facial hair now and will never have to worry about it again.

Epilators sting like a bitch. They do work, but you can get a rogue ingrown hair afterwards, which can hurt just as much. I got one, use it now and again. Takes longer than a razor. Mine was a top of the range, all singing all dancing one. Cost £125 a few years ago.

Just get waxed hun!

So painful it's like torture.

I get thousands of red dots on my skin afterwards as the blood comes to the top of the hair follicle.

Any hair removal has to be done the night before an event so that the skin has time to settle down.

I haven't seen mine for ages. That's how interested in it I am.

Fortune wasted.

Turn left at the Singing Ringing Tree

I've got a Silk epil by Braun and use it on my legs, it's good. Has two changeable heads on it. However I wouldn't use it on my underarms or bikini area, as I'm not that brave, as it can make your eyes water using it.

And I thought an epliator was one of those little dinosaurs off Jurassic park!!! Turns out I'm thinking of a velociraptor - although you wouldn't have to worry about hairy legs with one of those in the house - may have to epilate the garden sick of bloody mowing it!!! Hmmm waxing strips for the garden - I could make millions!!!

the pain aspect isnt an issue for me ..ney pain no gain as they say ! as for waxing ..yep id love to do that but have to have a decent but of growth for that where as some epilators now claim get regrowth as small as grain of sand . plus the cost of waxing puts me off as im cheap skate lolx

I love my epilators.

I wouldn’t say they hurt…. I quite like the sensation, but there is an optimum hair length if you are doing your pubes.

I use my epilator on my legs and sometimes my pits, but my pubes tried it once had to apply ice-packs.

Foolishly tried another go, figuring nothing can hurt that bad second time especially if you know what to expect. Wrong!

Sounds familiar Laine.

I applied the theory of ' i know so i'll just brace myself' ... would still prefer a crucifixion to epilating.

My legs are tough and well used to it so not really any pain there, but my poor pussy shrivels and turns inwards when my epilator comes out..... so not a good look on a meet..... a puckered up pussy.

Ive used an epilator for years now, pain isnt a problem if you use it regularly, exfoliate first and always use after a bath not before. Moisturise and its all done, everywhere.

You can get a spray lotion that numbs the skin from veet which is ok.

Have used different ones over the years and cant say Ive seen much difference in the brands,

Happy epilating

I agree...I use mine fairly regular, if used straight after a bath theres not much more than a stinging sensation...

use mine all the time for my legs....usually when I'm watching the tv, lol, and have to say I don't have any real pain, just an occasional twinge round my knees. Have tried to do underarms a couple of times but found it dragged the skin and left unsightly marks. Only once did I do my pubes.....OMG...never, ever again.....I bled like a stuck pig and looked like I had something nasty wrong with me

Have tried a couple and they hurt like hell!

Even tried one that had a ice pack bit that was supposed to cool the stinging but didn't help.

Plus I ended up with a raised rash after using one that took ages to go....give me a razor anyday.
