Ooo, I read a long article about them in a newspaper magazine.

Just a brand that 3 middle age gents thought off, and it took off from there.

Not a fan, as I do not like to wear clothes with brand logos on them, except for trainers.

I'm 95 miles away from the nearest of any of those stores and since I don't read magazines that they advertise in it's hardly surprising that ebay was my first introduction

it is 'in' and i do like it

i do think that only a few people can carry it off though

looks esp good on the younger folks - but if i wore it i fear i'd just look like someone who hadn't changed his wardrobe in 20 years

My 2 teenage boys wear superdry jackets, don't mind paying as both boys look after them.

They like alot of designer stuff but they have to do chores etc to earn the money. I refuse to give them everything for nothing.

Superdry were highlighted on the BBC3 documentary 'Superbrands', presented by the very amiable Alex Riley, recently.

The company was set up by 3 guys who have a very modest office in Reading. They went to Japan for fashion ideas, looking for something a bit different. What they came back with was brand and graphics inspiration. One one of them noticed that in Japan loads of successful brands were superceded by the word super... so they went with it. Seems to work for them.

I'm sure a search for it would help you out.

I hope this helps.

I can help enlighten here a little bit from what I can remember..

Initially a BMXer called James Holder started a t-shirt company called Bench that we used to buy from him at BMX and Skate comps (he used to be a top rider).

Bench then went massive and turned into something he didnt really like, mainly due to one of the main shareholders.

They all sold up and he left. He did a few very limited runs of tops in very special materials before he created Superdry with the guy that owns Cult clothing - that was why you only saw it in there initially.

I havent seen James for years, but apparently he is still the exact same guy who sold us t-shirts from his car boot at comps!
