Right - tomorrow I start my brand new job! I'm both nervous but excited and eager and enthusiastic - but also apprehensive, because although I have plenty of experience in this job role, it's a different setting, I haven't done this type of work for two years, and I haven't been in paid work for a year.
Any tips on how to push myself to be all I can be?  |

stop wasting your energy by worrying about what might be. put all that energy in your actions tomorrow and I am sure you'll be more than fine! it's one day untilweekend anyway, so even if you fuck it up a bit you can just get d*unk and try again next week!  |

damn... ok, forget about the getting d*unk but lol. but really, focus on what you can change and influence instead of worrying about things you can't. remember they wanted you, that's why they hired you now they'll have to put up with you  |

And also, I've just had a phone call from my manager to tell me that they've had a localised power cut in the bar restaurant kitchen area tonight, so they're not serving breakfasts tomorrow so I'm starting on Saturday now.  |

My advice is to make sure you have water to drink and a menthol stick for your head. The menthol stick will be needed about 5 hours in when the concentration/trying hard headache kicks in.
