I'm sat watching the one show and they've just been interviewing people in a park about litter. I absolutely hate it, not just because its unsightly, but because of what it can do to wildlife. i once saw a squirrel with its head caught in a lid of a mcflurry.

one guy was quite open saying that he drops his chewing gum on the floor, that is the dirtiest of the lot.

Hate it because it is unsightly and also because harms wildlife. Just walked past a carpark next to Macdonalds and someone had thrown their rubbish at the side of their car. There is just no need for it, there are plenty of bins about.

Have been known to go after people knowing they have purposely dropped some and said ' excuse me you have dropped something' and handed it back to them. Either get a mouthful but most often a look of embarassment.

Worse is when you see adults do it when with their kids.

Hate it. Was actually cycling today & got hit with something from a passing car! Always make sure my kids put everything in a bin, but sometimes it seems a long time carrying it before we come across one.

Try walking round Bellahouston- I was in this morning with the dogs and the kids playpark was covered with empty bottles, McD's wrappers and general detritus from the lovely d*unks over the weekend- absolutely revolting

Left it for 2 days with no bins and no one to pick up rubbish and it then took 20 people spending 2 hours to clear half a tonne of rubbish.

As more rubbish was left, more people found it acceptable to litter.

I hate that too- and I do have dogs.... if I can pick up after mine (takes all of a few seconds- plenty of bins) why can't they? Lazy fuckers

Well it just goes to show eh.

In reply to Justy, I have seen 'responsible' dog owners pick up the poo in a plastic bag only to toss it into the bushes where it will stay for the next thousand years to breakdown naturally. They would have been better letting the dog do his business in the bush.

Have to agree there- my Mum had an endless handbag for rubbish, I now have the same- took my niece out last week and she asked me for one of the dog's poo bags to put her rubbish in, she tied it up and put it back in my bag til we got to a bin

If only there was some way that when it was dropped the litter would work its way back into the offender's house by magic!

Mind you most of the selfish, lazy gits probably wouldn't notice...
