not really as really being forced to sit down with family.. more those shows that had some sort of hold over you.....
for example... when i was at school and university many moons ago... if i heard the theme tunes for "sons and daughters" "the sullivans" or even worse "A country Practice"....I just has to sit down and watch.....
I think i was the first person diagnosed with "Aussie Soap Fettish"...
a country practice was dire... but it bloody just dragged me in...
so okay.... time to fess up and lift that weight off your shoulders.....
which extremely crappy shows did it for you!!!!! |

Hated the news at six o clock, it meant that I had to go wash up the tea dishes. Then the nine o clock news meant I had to go make supper for my little sis and brother then we had to get to bed.
My dad liked to watch the news in peace.
Everyone used to get to watch M*A*S*H except us. |

We were suitably numbed by it too. |

My nephew used to be the same with Emmerdale - and he grew up to be a farmer. Wonder if it was a sign? |

I was on maternity leave and my afternoon wasn't complete without Sons and Daughters and Young Doctors.
My daughter phoned me when Peter Falk (Columbo) died, saying she felt sad as she watched him every week and thought of me as I'd braid her hair every Sunday during Columbo! |

I can't even remember what it was called but there used to be a Welsh language soap on during the day in the early 80's.
I couldn't understand it but there was a bar maid in it with incredible knockers. |

M*A*S*H was a good prog. The bizarre behaviour was the only way that these drafted in civillians could deal with the carnage of war. Very funny but based on real life.
Can't remember which crap progs I watched. I've obliterated them from my mind. Or was it the altheimers that did that?? |

Could have been 'Pobol y Cwm' which is still running. But only broadcast in Wales now. |

"Am I the only person who hated Blackadder?"
it was of its time
i thought it was very funny first time round but i can watch it now and cringe
same goes for 'one foot in the grave' and 'keeping up appearances' |
