I have found a service that allows me to give a number out that goes to a voicemail that I can listen to via the Internet (saves giving out a real number right away) good points n bad it's free for me but costs A pound a min to call but it also allows me to pick up voicemails any time I like without giving away my mobile .. Say if I'm holding a party I can give it out 4 people to leave me a number to call them back on So I'm wondering wud this break the rules on here if I am open about what it is

I saw a service like that about a year ago.

I never see the point.

If I give out my number and someone becomes a phone pest then I block their number or don't pick up.They are not pests for long.

Who want's to pick up messages? I want to actually TALK to people and most of the time I can do that on MY phone for free.

To answer your question, do you earn anything from the £1 per minute that the caller pays? I seem to remember something in the T&Cs about not using the site to promote any other businesses - which, understandably, can be interpreted as including money earned from giving people a premium rate number to contact you on.

As for not wanting to switch off your phone at night, I'm sure there are apps available that will switch it to silent mode automatically at a certain time, and then switch it back later. I use such an app called Sweet Dream, but I don't have an iPhone so don't know the equivalent for Apple phones - sorry.

There are other apps that work like Sweet Dreams, but have other functions, so for example you can use GPS to say whenever I'm at this location, e.g. your home, then ring otherwise don't ring and go straight to voicemail instead. Or by altitude, so when you take the phone upstairs to go to bed it registers the change in altitude, or by turning the phone over, etc..

In the eight years I've been using the internet to meet men only one man has been a pest because I wouldn't meet him. He cancelled a social meet twice and I got bored and moved on. He was younger than I usually go for, so my bad. I never answered and he soon got fed up.

The only other occasion was an ex-boyfriend who couldn't accept he was an ex.

No one has ever phoned me d*unk: just be selective in the type of man you give out your details to.

At £1 a minute it's probably cheaper in the long run to get a cheap pay as you go mobile and use that.

Put it on and see what happens ?? maybe the same thing as happened last time you had the number on your profile ????

At the end of the day SOMEONE is making money out of it, so why on earth would Admin allow it to used on this site?

Go to Asda.....buy one of their £4.99 pay as you go phones and have them ring that....there are lots of people who arrange parties on here without charging others £1 a minute to find out about them.
