Am a big old 6f fat TV. Who just wanted to update her wardrobe a bit.

So went shopping.

I 1st tried a few 2nd hand shops. Nothing.

So hit town.

In ASDA the lady helped me get a lovely flowing dress. Even let me try on.

Another shop the lady even helped with the zip.

I did get a few funny looks in the shoes shop. But the lady was really nice let me walk around in them.

M&S helped with new underwear.

So not a bad few hrs shopping.

2 dresses one top and new shoes.

And some nice holdups. Couldn't get stockings my size

When I worked in retail, genuinely helping someone was the one thing that could actually make the other shit worth it.

I can remember walking around the store with an elderly woman's Christmas list helping her choose, then carrying it to the till and putting it through for her, and taking her down in the lift as she was scared.

If they left happy, my job was done

Nottingham

Glad you had a good experience OP.

I work for sainsburys in the clothing department and it really doesn't matter to us who the clothes are for, I'm there to help everyone. If our customer goes away happy then we have done a good job.

It's just nice that people take a bit of time to help people.

The ASDA lady even stood outside the changing room and went and got a few different options for me.

They're more nice than not nowadays. It's more likely to be other customers who get iffy. I was in Superdrug buying some makeup and there was a guy chatting with another assistant as mine rang up my purchases. I heard the guy say, "It's like Little Britain." As I left, I said, "It's nothing like Little Britain, actually." Fir a guy who seems to be a CD and has written a kids' book on the subject, David Walliams did us no favours with those dumbass I'm a Lady characters. Jeez, we can take a joke but that crap died out with Dick Emery in the 70s.
